Lol, The minority court, representing a minority of the country basically about to impose its will on the nation. Sad.

Mississippi setting domestic policy, lol

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor said it better than any of the court’s external critics. "Will this institution survive the stench this creates in the public perception, that the Constitution and its reading are just political acts?” she asked during oral arguments on Mississippi’s abortion law on Wednesday. “If people believe this is all politics, how will we survive? How will this court survive?”

That’s the exact OPPOSITE of what this is about. This entire hearing and pending ruling is return the decision to the people. It doesn’t dictate anything! Sheeesh

Nope, the states are not the people. Fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution are not open for states to oppress

Not that you actually care.

Background checks for guns are an attack on gun buyers rights.

But women can't make choices over their own bodies

The "pro-life" movement is such a fraud

The pro vaccine movement is an even bigger fraud. And you posing as a liberal when you’re actually a Marxist makes you a fraud.
Go ahead, keep saying how much you care about people as you spew your hateful venom.

Marxist? You should see my capitalist investments.

Vaccine's save lives. How dare people are made to get something that saves other people's lives! It's so much easier than being forced to carry a baby for 9 months

Your investments are like your IQ, low.

My body, my choice.

You are ignorant. Why would you make a definitive statement about something you know knowing about?

Mr. Definitive! You talk out your butt.

Your body your choice? That apply to women, too?

Omg

The States exist for exactly this purpose when the Founders said "to the States" they literally mean to the people....of said state.  With a deliberate intention of the National Government specifically the Executive branch to be the exact opposite of what it is and abused to be now.

That's exactly what Federalism is intended for.

The interests of the communists in New York, who will instantly legalize abortion on demand the second Roe is overturned and left to the states and keeps you in masks in perpetuity, are not the same interests as the freedom loving people of Florida.

Framing the Abortion Argument

Thoughts on yesterday's oral argument

DAVID POST

It was an absorbing two hours of oral argument - well-argued by the lawyers, and a very engaged and well-prepared bench.  Like Super Bowl matchups, arguments in the Big Cases often disappoint, given the huge buildup beforehand; this one, however, did not - to my ears, anyway.  [If you missed the proceedings, the full audio is available here, and the official transcript here]

{snip}

FWIW, my personal prediction is that the Court will not overrule Roe and/or Casey, at least insofar as there will be five votes to re-affirm the existence of a due-process-protected right to decide whether to terminate one's pregnancy. Justice Roberts will succeed at getting persuading at least one of the post-Casey Justices to join in his opinion, which will confirm the existence of the right while simultaneously discarding the "viability" standard for determining when the State's countervailing interest in the life of the fetus arises and giving States more leeway in defining the timing of their prohibitions. Just a guess.

The people in each state will get to vote on the issue.  You have literally no idea how this country works at all.

Enough hysteria.

Back to the actual news about the hearings.

Justice Alito made Bidens Solicitor General defend Plessy v Fergususon (Separate But Equal)

https://thefederalist.com/2021/12/01/justice-alito-made-bidens-solicitor-general-defend-racist-scotus-precedent-plessy/

Plessy? What does Plessy have to do with women getting health care services they need? How stupid.

This court, as currently composed of right wing hacks, is a disgrace. They neither represent the will of the people or the idea of faithfully upholding the rule of law.

I mean the city of Buffalo was on the brink of an actual socialist being mayor.

And yes.  It's communist.

I think Demented Biden and his communist buddies will botch any ruling.  That being said, there should be no abortions past the first trimester unless the mother's life is at risk or the baby will be stillborn.  On the other hand no women should be forced to have a baby after she has been raped.  No way.
