We really don't know what's going on inside the meeting rooms and inside the clubhouse.

Remember, McDermott is the one who was observed getting all up in Matt Fairburn's face chest-to-chest and chewing him out "Are you With Us, or Against Us?" for some reason - I don't remember the specifics.....Fairburn has an MMA background IIR and was un-flapped by it, but I think it was a momentary glance at the inner Sean Mcdermott.

Point is, McDermott comes across as a level-headed and patient man in front of the press, but he is still a successful HS wrestler, a college football player who made good as a walk on, and a football coach wrangling players who are a good foot taller and twice his mass.

I wouldn't bet the rent that hes all sweetness and nice in private.

Kind of matches with what we see from him on game day, right? He positive and encouraging until he's not. He seems like a fiery dude who can be goaded into responses more inline with what happened with Fairburn.

I thought he posted that he was already vaccinated?

He posted "I'm vaccinated, sir, please don't tare me down I'm sorry!" on August 26.

I think that may be a cultural thing where when you've decided to do something, you say "I've done it".  I ran into that with some of my mom's neighbors in South Florida.

If he got the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, he can now be considered fully vaccinated sometime in mid or late October.

5 weeks (3 weeks to second shot, 2 weeks after 2nd shot to full effectiveness) from first shot to fully vaccinated unless they changed something?

Not exactly, it's used for something within your control.  Someone explained it to me, it has to do with mapping verb tenses from some dialects of Spanish into English.  Like "Don't tare me down, I'm registered!" means I'm 100% gonna go to the license bureau first thing tomorrow am.  As opposed to "I'm gonna register the car" which means "I know it needs done and I might register in the next month (or not)."  But I'll shut up now, because this could all be total BS, it was just a chat I had with some neighbors of my mom's about learning English.

This is AMAZING news.  We need some on the team to lead by example, and be vocal about it.

No way any of these guys are really worried about the "risk." They have dangerous careers and put their health on the line every single Sunday.

Honestly, I hope they cut or trade Beasley. Then it's a clear message to players - be like McKenzie and get rewarded, be like Beasley and risk you place on the team.

They can't have given him a message anything near that direct.  I'm sure the latter statement is true, but the message has to be framed very differently.

He's been Beasley's little disciple.  But the reality is, Beasley has a cap hit of $7.3M and a salary of $4.7M.  At 18 weeks, that's $260,000 per game.  Beasley got fined basically, 6% of a game check and 0.2% of his cap hit.  Lil' Dirty on the other hand, just got fined almost 1/3 of a $55k game check, 27%, and 1.5% of his contract.

He's said they could pay him in candy, but at the bottom of the roster and with financial plans for his restaurant and startups plus some family to take care of (a grandmother? or aunt?), he just might have decided "Money Talks, bull#### Walks" to Beasley's schtick.

Agree on the direct part and the fine impact part too.

Could also be players all around are hearing from their agents, If you're not a high paid player, you may be cut if un-vaxed, but no way to prove it either.  The agents may be reading the tea leaves they are seeing and hearing.

That’s not what he said in his post, you either didn’t read it or your comprehension needs work…,

@Hapless Bills Fan

What was I saying?

Was I calling you out for demonizing people or was I expanding upon your point?

By the look of your green check mark you (and a few others) seemed to understand exactly what I was saying…

Yes, exactly  - "Beware the Wrath of a Patient Man" as the saying goes.

Do we know for certain Allen is vaccinated? I may have missed it...

I like Beasley. I really don't want him cut or traded. A vaccinated Beasley would definitely make our team stronger. But we don't need distraction, divisiveness, or players to be missing either.

That's what I was chuckling about. He definitely caught himself out.

I don't know if I buy it's cultural to claim you've done something when you haven't, but that's just my $.02, hap.

Very pleased he got the jab.

We don't know on Allen.  And of course, we would never cut Josh Allen.

I love Beasley. He was my favorite player last year. I also respect his right to his own opinion, and even to not be vaccinated. But he's been too much of a distraction, and if we're into the season and he's missing more than a game or 2 because of these new protocols, it's not worth it to have him on the roster.

I am sure there are agents who see an unvaccinated Davis and Beasley, with a client like McKenzie who can see the writing on the wall.

“Get vaxed, be available and don’t be a headache. His paycheck could be yours next year”

It is a no brainer.

You were expanding on my point.  And I agree with you.

It all depends on one's goals.

If the goal is to carry out the season, then demonizing and finger pointing are not helpful at all.  The question is to look at the best current data and try to figure out, what's the best way to achieve the goal.

On Sirius NFL yesterday, Pat Kirwan was saying that he knows GM's that will be cutting unvaxxed players if they have other options.  Be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I'm surprised Star isn't vaccinated considering he sat out last year due to Covid concerns. I've also seen him walking around Wegmans maskless though.

Saw him in there last evening in fact.  And yes, unmasked.
