I’ve seen your Pats schedule you’ll be 3-5 at best by the end of October

The NFC East owns the Pats in the Super Bowl ironically

Those NFCE wins have cursed those franchises for years and years to come

Yeh but they still have those Lombardi Trophies to stare at when they walk into their team facilities…Eagles fans are still celebrating

Wow - that is an amazing fact. Makes me appreciate the Bills front office that much more.

They have only drafted and let go three without a second contract in that time though..... Easley, Brown and Michel. It sounds more amazing than the reality.

I'm not sure re-signing a 1st round pick is a sign of anything considering how NE handles its payroll.  That jump in contract from rookie to big veteran money us a sure way to have a few star players with no depth to back them up.  I feel like we did that for many years.

How many Super Bowls have the Patriots been to and won since 2012? Did it ever occur to you that maybe NOT giving out huge second contracts to drafted players IS the way to keep long term team success? Last season was the first losing season in 19 years and they seem to have hit in the draft and free agency. Time will tell but how can anyone every question Bill?

No. What saved them was the impression among free agents that if you wanted a ring you signed with the Patriots. Take Brady away and suddenly you have a very weak team. Compare our depth to the Patriots. Then compare our last four drafts to theirs.

Last year they were crushed by a ton of dead money, opt outs, and injuries.  They had to pay up on all the contracts that they had paid out in order to make that 5-6 year run happen, last year was pay up time.

Clearly that team has talent this year and in comparing our depth to theirs it looks favorable for either depending on the position group.  Not sure what you're looking at, could you be specific?  Cheers

They were most crushed by the loss of Brady, who isn't walking through that door.
