However I think if we end up in the AFC championship game again with a banged up Diggs, Beasley and Sanders those guys are still going to be the ones who play regardless of the depth behind them. The only way the #6 and #7 WRs on this roster would see significant snaps in a playoff game is if everyone above them is injured enough to be in street clothes. YeaBut...... The top 3 or 4 WR can be put on IR for a few games near the end of the year to recover all their boo boos. We have quality depth and if you keep them on the roster they can win you games near the end of the season that help get a bye or homefield games.

It is just hard for me to envision some of the top guys taking a seat in a meaningful game if they are good enough to go but not 100%. 1
Back2Buff Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Kumerow not being used in red zone of Sat with first team offense was a pretty good indicator he isn't going to have a role this year unless multiple people get hurt. I don't know if I would want to keep a guy on a one year deal that is 29 years old that will have a very small role on this team, versus a guy like Stevenson who is young and under control for 4 years.

I think they can keep both because Kumerow can play special teams on their coverage units. But I agree keeping a 29 year old 1 year player as a backup and risking a high potential rookie is not a great calculation otherwise.

I think then you would be cutting D Johnson, who I think is a better ST player than Kumerow. I think Kumerow on a normal basis will have less than 5 snaps on offense and is just an ok ST player. I just don't understand how that is enough to warrant a roster spot on this team.

I have Bam and Kumerow on the team. I have them keeping only 2 specialist tight ends, 5 linebackers and 5 corners. There isn't a 3rd tight end or 6th corner worth keeping, and normally you have to keep 6 linebackers for teams depth but Bam and Kumerow can both play teams as well as Smith and Matakevich.
maryland-bills-fan Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Kumerow for green bays 5th round pick and their QB is giddy and happy. All the discord is ended at a cheap price. Kumerow flies to GB and slips coming out of the terminal, tearning his ACL.
