Mitchell Trubisky - Bears cut loose their 29-21 QB who took them to the playoffs, thinking they could do better.  Haha.  It must have been sweet to drop a 31 34-burger on them in the first half.  Sure, it's only preseason, but revenge don't get much sweeter.

Jacob Hollister - Caught everything thrown his way (unlike Dropsome Knox), culminating in a beautiful seam route and catch.  I'd name him TE1 right now, if only to light a fire under Dropsome.

Issac McKittrick - Made up for the muffed punt with a ton of catches on offense, and a great PR later.  Kept the sticks moving on the TD drives.

Marquez Stevenson - Made up for a really bad room service drop with a massive PR for a TD.  Raises the question if the Bills will keep 7 WR, and two PR/KR specialists.

Greg Rousseau - An absolute beast, and the steal of the first round.  This is what we thought we were getting when we "stole" Shaq Lawson.

Mike Justin Zimmer - Forced another TO, and generally wreaked havoc in the center of the line.  Hope the elbow is OK.

Andre Smith - All over the field again this week, and just a massive clean hit on Fields that sent his unbuttoned chin strap helmet flying.  I'll forgive the RTP penalty, it was a huge hit!

Rachad Wildgoose - As bad as he was last week, he was great this week, with big hits, PD's, and a near TO that was at least reviewable.

Gotta throw Gilliam in there. He put in the work. 2 TDs.

I limited myself to four O, four D.  Wanted to let others ring in.  Gilliam definitely impressed.  He's done more at FB in 2 pre-season games than DiMarco accomplished in his entire tenure here.

Trubisky- feeling good about him if he had to come in and start

Singletary- looks in RB1 form

Rousseau- could be the steal of the draft if he continues to develop

Zimmer- always hustling inside, love his energy

Bass- dude can kick

No one bagged on Singletary last year more than me. He looks fast and decisive once he gets the handoff. We'll desperately need a substantially better run game to keep pressure of JA17. As others have said Hollister looks like our TE1 and it's not close. Knox is on thin ice. All our DE's played well. I'll give Boogie an "acclimation year" like AJ.  McB kept their promise.  They've built a deep team like we haven't seen in a very long time.

Glad we have Mitch!! What are the next cuts going to be?

Never thought I'd be happy to have a player that hopefully doesn't see the field outside of mop up duty.

Almost like owning a motorcycle helmet. Good to have but hope it never sees the pavement.

I said in the GDT that if Sweeney was healthy, Knox might be on the outside looking in.  I got one eyeroll.  I used to be the biggest Knox fan, but I can't ignore the drops any longer.  That one was *****in' room service.

Boogie looked a lot better today, with the BLOCK and a sack (I posted two "Boogie" songs), so I like him again 😉

Kudos to you for the singletary comment. Not many people own up when they’re overly critical of players.

Agree with everyone on your list OP. Lots of guys played well today, so I'll add:

Gabe Davis: looks as good as he did last year. Catches everything.

Tyler Dodson: Great special teams tackle, and was very active on defense with a number of stops, including a thigh tackle to prevent a first down.

Reggie Gilliam: 2 TDs, a 12-yard run, a couple of first downs. Nice blocking.

Lance Lenoir flashed again with a great toe-line grab

Nick McCloud flashed a bit at the end of the game for me.

Damar Hamlin looked good too...4 tackles and a QB hit

Who blocked that extra point? Bam? It was ninety-something. Couldn't see the 2nd number.

The block was Carlos "Boogie" Basham.  I selected "Jungle Boogie" by Kool and the Gang in tribute.

Trubisky

Rousseau

Singletary

Spencer Brown

Wildgoose

Epenesa

Dawkins returning really helped our tackle depth look much better than last week and our defense and pass rush looked great. Very encouraging stuff all around.

Nice. And yeah, Boogie had the Offside penalty, but he also had 5 tackles (4 solo), two tackles for a loss, a sack, two QB hits, and the blocked XP. Not too shabby. Glad to see him show up against the run too...not just as a pass rusher.

J. Zimmer continues to impress; man, that meatball can cover some ground!  B. Basham also looked very stout at point of attack; he shed blockers extremely well on run plays, and really sticks his tackles. He looks a lot more like a very mobile, strong DT than DE to me.
