These plays happen fast, there is not always time to aim as well as you need to per the rules. 1

Expand It can be corrected. I see your point but I also see if from the point of a defender who was probably anticipating he would not stand there blind to the rush like a statue. He probably was waiting for Fields to escape one way or the other but he never saw it coming.

Obviously, the guy has been coached not to hit the QB in the head, but at full speed with a mobile QB, it's not easy.
