Agree. The Browns in 2019 and Cardinals in 2020 are the closest to surprise losses and both were tricky road games against ascending young teams. McDermott since he has been here has been very, very good at winning the games he should win and not having those shock let down games.

Agreed and honestly the Browns in 19 was a 50/50 type loss I wouldn't say it was shocking. In general the 2019 season really didn't have a shocking loss and probably the only shocking win was Dallas. If anything 2020 had more unexpected wins as they just hadn't beat the likes of SEA/LA and the ARZ loss was just luck and one great play.

He turned into Trentative Edwards ;)

Nah. Trent did eventually you know.... throw the ball.... Carson pumped, stopped, looked all around the field 4 times with crazy eyes, turned his back to the defense and then got sacked. I mean when I see 2020 Carson Wentz that is the play I see.

He was really bad last season for a number of reasons, but the Eagles’ line really was THAT bad.

Much better line in Indy but does he(Wentz) have his head on right?

We simply don’t know. I think there’s a little too much certitude here about him being done. The future is unwritten. He may end up sucking; He may revert to the mean. So much depends on the coaching and the supporting cast. He certainly has played well before, so he has it in him.

We shall see it play out if he recovers from his foot or what ever.

I am not cheering for him to fail I just think he is broken.

Sorry to derail your thread Gunner.

Take a look at the Browns schedule…un real.  They play 4 playoff teams (Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, Packers).  By far the easiest schedule in the AFC.

The Browns strength of schedule is ranked 9th hardest with an opponent winning percentage of .518.  LINK  The Bills are tied for 23rd with an OWP of .478.  The Bills fairly weak schedule should be very helpful in securing a high seed.  Just looking at schedules I expect the Bills to host the Browns if they end up playing.

I think we are most likely 14-3.  losses vs the Titans, after laying KC that is a tough game. We lose to colts because Reich has the good luck this game. Finally we lose to Bucs because we are too hyped and play out of control. Thou looking at the schedule if this teams wins less than 11 I will shocked.

Exactly. They failed to sweep it for the second straight year.... as in if they had swept it then it would be two straight years.

Ambiguous wording. Try "The Bills fail to sweep the division after sweeping it last year."

Sorry to be so picky. I loved the post and I hope they live up to your predictions. My biggest worry is major injuries--the Bills were relatively unscathed last season.

It was ambiguous wording. I accept. I understand why people read it the way they did but it also can mean what I intended.

It's why I have their scoring down a bit also. The offensive line was very healthy and outside of John Browns injury they were really healthy up front.

Didn't the Steelers start last year off like 10-0 or 11-1 or something like. Ben will be at strongest in the beginning of the season before the hits and wear and tear of playing factor in. Bills should win but I agree with you this will be close.

they also faced qb's like jeff driscal, carson wentz, dan jones, garret gilbert, robert griffin, rookie joe burrow, and Jake friggin lutton. As teams got dialed in and the schedule got hard that team completely imploded.

I'm a big believer in "any given sunday". I've been watching long enough now to understand any team can hang with any other team. But i also see 2 teams headed in completely different directions. I definitely expect to win that matchup and i honestly expect that we do it convincingly.

Steelers are kinda the inverse of the Patriots in their last season with Brady. The roster is decently solid and last year propped up an aging QB whereas Brady propped up an aging lineup. Thing is you'll take the QB propping the roster as a bet of the aging guy. I really think they fall to 7-8-9 wins top between the division they have and schedule in general. I would honestly be stunned if they make the playoffs this year, it feels like the year things finally fall.

Remember the 2014 season opener spread vs the Bears?

Bills were something like 14 point underdogs and won the game outright.

I expect the Bills to win but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s close.

neither will i be. i've watched long enough to understand how the league works. i've also watched long enough to understand when i see one team that looks like they should handle another. I wont be suprised if they play us close. I will be even less surprised if we beat them by more than 2 scores.

4-2 through first 6, vs PIT, @ MIA, vs WFT, vs HOU, @ KC, @ TEN

4-2 through next 6, vs MIA, @ JAX, @ NYJ, vs IND, @ NO, vs NE

4-1 through last 5, @ TB, vs CAR, @ NE, vs ATL, vs NYJ

12-5

Earlier in offseason I had the first 6 as 5-1, but I don’t see a win in KC and there’s a loss hiding in PIT, WFT, MIA and TEN

13-4 to 14-3.  Most Likely.  We won’t lose games we are supposed to win.  The issue IMO is it’s another off season where they predict Cam, now Mac will win for the Pats.  They are going bananas on how great they will be again.  OTOH, the Bills get no press and top trio lists are everyone but us, even though we were the second best offensive team in points.

who freakin cares.  We win, as drago said, they lose.

I agree and I expect the Steelers to go under .500. I just think week 1 is the worst time to get them.

Maybe not.  Will their line be cohesive?
