Another Fan Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Which do you prefer? I’m told diet is “healthier”. But it increases your appetite and has phenylalanine in it Quote
Greg S Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 When I do drink soda its regular. I mostly just drink water. 1 Quote

Gugny Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 The only time I drink soda is if I'm out to lunch and don't feel like having a beer. If that happens, it's a diet cola. I never have soda in my house. Quote
YoloinOhio Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Diet for me- even prefer the taste. Don’t drink it often but when I do, Diet Coke or diet sprite or diet ginger ale (usually as a mixer lol) I also like diet tonic water with a nice gin and a lime Quote
Jester Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Good question. Diet Coke for me. If Diet Coke isn't available, then regular Pepsi. Although I haven't had soda in a long time. I try to avoid and drink water instead. Quote
billsfanmiamioh Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Usually neither. Water, la croix or booze. I’ll have a Coke Zero maybe once every couple months. 1 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Polar Soda Water! And "diet" is definitely not healthier. You are better off with the sugar than the chemicals (although that is like saying you are better off with AIDS instead of cancer). BuffaloBud Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Neither. Have not had a soda (regular or diet) in over 30 years. 1 Quote
Patrick Duffy Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Neither. Water almost all the time. Hot summer I do gatorade sometimes. And once in a while tea. Quote
Marv's Neighbor Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Drink about 2L of Earl Grey tea a day. Soft drinks are always diet, either Pepsi or 7-UP. Quote

thenorthremembers Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Diet. Drinking about 130 oz of water a day right now to help lose weight, but got in a terrible habit of drinking Diet Pepsi daily awhile back. Love the bubbles and taste. Recently bought a soda stream to try and break the habit with carbonated water. Quote
davefan66 Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Was a Diet Pepsi-aholic for years. Could drink up to 2 liters a day. Loved the fizziness. Switched to Diet Coke for a year and now don’t drink pop at all. Too much sugar in regular. Diet pop tricks your body and causes insulin spikes along with the fake sweetener, nasty stuff. 1 Quote
Saxum Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 No longer drink Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper any more; my taste buds have changed and no longer like them. I generally drink Thai Tea with stevia (you can make Thai Tea in coffee maker just like coffee), Diet Iced Tea, or Diet sodas ginger ale, A&W Root Beer or Sunkist. Supermarkets used to have a lot more varieties of diet soda but cut down due to competition from smaller bottlers who charge more and take up less shelve space. Diet A&W Cream Soda used to be my mainstay but cannot find anymore. Oh and i have a meter and never see insulin spikes from diet sodas or teas. Quote

Expand I drink polar plain soda water. But their mandarin orange is good, too. But I also find that I prefer seltzer from a can than a bottle. Seems like the fizz lasts longer once it is poured. As far as soda is concerned I rarely drink it but it is Coke with a meatball hero, or Ginger Ale with Chinese food. Never diet. Always regular. 1 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 I used to be a die-hard Coke Zero drinker, before I kicked that habit. Now I am a sparkling water addict. I even have a detailed rankings on my favorite sparkling water brands (with the glass bottle topo Chico clearly at #1). 1 1 Quote
