Governor Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Our military mission is complete. We can go back to being epidemiologists now.

I saw the last plane fly away. A near perfect mission to end a war that over 70 percent of the country no longer supported. Trump failed. Joe delivered. We’ll be hearing that a lot over the next few years on various issues. Unlike Trump, Joe delivers on promises made to the American people, doesn’t fear that he may “look bad” and doesn’t let his poll numbers dictate major decisions on foreign policy. No love letters needed. Americans know why Trump negotiated with the Taliban in his last year heading into the election. Every decision was to help him politically. Nothing else ever mattered to him. Now, he’s left there questioning his spineless decision, in awe of Joe’s amazing leadership. The Right is left with the bitter whimpers of “but muh equipment!” Now, onto the next Republican mess that needs to be cleaned up. Joe will lead the way. This act alone puts him in the upper tier ranking of Presidents. Nothing can stop him now. Edited August 31, 2021 by Governor 1

Conditions the Biden administration ignored. Second, a near perfect mission that was unnecessary given the presence of a valid and rational withdrawal strategy. Third, any suggestions that Trump bares responsibility for the disaster is preposterous given the fact the administration has not hesitated to overturn every other policy of the previous administration. Except of course this one they claim. If they didn't like the "plan" or the deal they could have changed it like everything else. They didn't. So they own it plain and simple, whatever they claim it was here. Sure Joe delivered. But what Joe delivered was equivalent to ordering a 20 oz, Ribeye at a five star steakhouse and having the waiter bring you a bag of dog poop. Right, Joe delivered. A hot steaming pile of a mess. A perfectly incorrectly executed withdrawal plan. 1

B-Man Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Whelp, looks like the Taliban are going to assault the Panjshir valley. If they get bogged down they might have to wait until spring to try again, but then they've now got far greater mobility and resources thanks to Uncle Sam.

BillStime Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Faux outrage over how a 20 year war we lost ended versus how and why it started. Typical GQP cc; @B-Man 1
