Hey everyone! First, I hope your day is off to an amazing start!

Now, to the reason for the post; Can anyone give me an idea of the atmosphere at the stadium for preseason games? I guess I’m mostly interested in if the tailgating still happens and if all the pre-game shenanigans are still a fun time. I understand the stadium during the game may not be as rockin’ as the regular season.

My schedule is going to make it tough to make the trip up during the regular season, so considering attending during the preseason. Thank you in advance for any information. I appreciate it!

Preseason is basically this.

Stadium will be around half full

Tailgating is the best part of it because the game means nothing but everyone is happy because football is back.

Tonight we do have football HOF game 8:00 PM on FOX Steelers and Cowboys

Complete opposite of a regular season game day. These are the games people bring their kids to.

I understand the concern. I promise to only buy the least desirable tickets.

You have a great time, was only kidding

The only thing we all care about is the Bills escape with no injuries. Don't care if they win or lose. Although I do want to see the starters shake off the rust and show improvement as opening day approaches.

I haven’t been to a preseason game in probably 10 plus years but bringing my soon to be 5 year old up for this one. Hoping it’s pretty “tame”

I left the area in 2007 and haven’t been to a home game since the Jets game in December of 2006. I’ve been to other stadiums, but now that I’m back closer to the area again (just over a 4 hour drive), I’m looking forward to attending home games again.

went to a pre-season game three years ago, which was Josh Allen debut against Panthers, he started and played entire second half and showed everybody that great arm and moves while running for his life against 3-4-5th stringers. so that was entertaining as well as seeing and hearing his passes hit his receivers...

I bought the best tickets as low as I could by the tunnel where the team enter-exit the field and the kids loved it when we moved down to the wall by the first row and field and saw all the players up close,  you wont get better seats at the lowest prices, this is the value of preseason esp good for the kids to see things up close as compared to regular season esp higher prices this season

These are critical games so fan emotions are high. Many can't handle the pressure so they leave early

Can't say what it'll be like there, but can say that the anticipation for the regular season to start is like being a kid counting the days down for when summer vacation starts and how long to wait to go to amusement parks.

With only one game this year, against an attractive opponent, it should be a great atmosphere. Traditionally the 3rd game is the best one for seeing starters. But not sure how that plays out this year with only 3 games.

There are two weeks between the 3rd preseason game and the season opener.

Then I'm guessing that'll be the where the starters play heaviest

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how strategies change due to having one less preseason game.
