Greg de'Ville Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 ...I've heard of strange ways to meet one's maker, but this one's different. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/foot...ex.html?cnn=yes
sweet baboo Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 especially this Hidy said they searched the waters about three-quarters of a mile off Jupiter Inlet for 30 minutes before finding Shakespeare face down, sunglasses clenched in his hand. he couldn't drop his sunglasses to swim and save his own life? were they a 600 dollar pair of revos or maui jim's?
Fezmid Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 especially this he couldn't drop his sunglasses to swim and save his own life? were they a 600 dollar pair of revos or maui jim's? 320939 I'm sure that's not it. He probably freaked out, thus all of his muscles clenched. CW
CoachChuckDickerson Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 If you can't swim why would you go out on a boat with no life vest on?
KD in CA Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 especially this he couldn't drop his sunglasses to swim and save his own life? were they a 600 dollar pair of revos or maui jim's? 320939 I have a pair of Maui Jim's....would definitely jump overboard to save them! Of course, then I'd put them on and swim back to the boat.....
sweet baboo Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 cuz it's not cool man! it's much cooler to be dead appparently
Arkady Renko Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Apparently this is supposed to be funny. I guess my sense of humor is malfunctioning.
bartshan-83 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 There has to be a whole lot more to this story. 320972 I agree. Something seems very fishy. His fishing companion couldn't operate the boat??? I'm gonna have to assume that it was a sailboat (story didn't say) otherwise finding the friggin steering wheel sure sounds like a huge challenge. I mean this "fishing companion" is the only one who could tell the story....coulda said anything.
Surfmeister Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I have a pair of Maui Jim's....would definitely jump overboard to save them! Of course, then I'd put them on and swim back to the boat..... 320949 I love my Maui Jim's shades. But .. I've got to be careful not to scratch them.
ch19079 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 i bet the last thing he said was: "what do you mean you dont know how to turn around!!!"
