He's been disappointing for them but he's a heckuva lot better than Bobby Hart. I'd be curious about the cost because it can't be very high. It's weird because going into camp, I felt like the Bills had good depth on the O-line. Now, Bobby Hart might be the 4th best tackle on the roster. So any injury to the top 3 is concerning. Although I would hope they play Bates ahead of Bobby Hart. They could be searching the waiver wire after all. Really it would be a shame for Bobby Hart to take a roster spot, considering some quality players that will be cut at other positions. Now with Lamp to IR, Guard depth doesn't look great either.

Someone trading for Dillard is looking for a starter, not to make him their 4th tackle. just my opinion

I’m not calling Lawrence a bust by any stretch, but I think the NFL is going to be a bigger adjustment than most assumed as well, especially playing on the Jags. Football was just too easy for Lawrence on that stacked Clemson team. I’m interested in seeing how he responds to struggles. 1 1

They are a match made in hell. These jags unis are really ugly. 1

Notice he retreats backwards out of trouble making his throws even farther. He needs to corect that. 1

Ahead of Ford and Boettger. Similar to tackle, there are only 3 roster worthy players at guard, plus Bates. Now that Lamp is on IR it looks like the Bills have 8 lineman worthy of making an active 53 for an NFL team

He signed a 1 yr, 1m contract to come here...hardly anything. Doyle will be fine as our 9th lineman, or perhaps they consider keeping Douglas and having Bates as the 4th tackle and Jack of all trades backup. Not worried.

So they should be on the lookout for someone like Dilliard who has upside, I’m thinking a waiver wire player more than trade. Anyway, they’ll probably keep Doyle due to draft status. So let’s hope he develops. 24 minutes ago, MasterStrategist said: Forest Lamp would have been a nice story, but he has been injured his whole NFL career (except last season) and didn't exactly play well. It only becomes a concern if multiple interior lineman or multiple tackles go down. Otherwise they should be fine. But it is interesting from the stand point of who makes the opening day roster.

They'll replace Nsekhe with Spencer Brown and lose no tackle depth, unless you think that Brown isn't active roster quality, something with which I'd disagree. And I suppose they could replace Winters with Doyle, although I don't know if he can play OG. And he/whoever replaces Winters would be the inactive guy. Edited August 24, 2021 by Doc

What about Jack “Baby Richie Incognito” Anderson? I realize he was only a late round pick, but he is one of their recent draft picks which they’ve been partial to historically. I’ve heard almost nothing about him in camp. Likely a PS guy his first year, but maybe he factors into a deep depth guard spot.

A very good QB who flirts with being elite. Not saying they are the same kind of player but just that type of career trajectory. Which isn't a bad thing necessarily.
