Rashod Bateman's soft-tissue injury is going to require surgery.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters Bateman will undergo an operation on his groin, sidelining him until sometime in September.

Welp..  Looks like it is going to be the Watkins/Brown/Andrews show in B'more.  B'more has THE worst luck drafting WRs...

I’m no Dr. but I can’t imagine any part of the groin having surgery and being good in a month. Especially for a guy who is driving , stopping and cutting as much as a WR. Hurts to think about.

Frank Reich seems like a great head coach (and apparently just signed an extension). He's very McDermott-like in the measured intensity he exudes.

Not a Rex Ryan, but not a Dick Jauron. Just a perfect blend.

And he's not BSing you, but he's not showing his hand either. All the while being very nice professional.

He could do great things with a talented team. Just doesn't have a QB. Imagine if he paired up with Rodgers...

A perfect blend between Rex Ryan, and Dick Jauron? That's like saying a perfect blend between rotting fish, and gravel thrown in your face.

A well-cooked fish at a cookout with gravel under your feet 👍

You couldn’t find a way to include a “Mahomes is great and your team traded him to mine” take?

Calm down, pull your pants back up, and take your steal of the draft nonsense elsewhere.

first...I am not a fan that has a take on that trade as you describe.  I very much think it was a win win and have said so many times here.

This thread is "other teams training camp"  I am posting in a thread for non Bills training camp related news and notes.  Where would you have me post this if not here?

So I was unaware that TJ Watt is in camp, but not practicing with the team.  Appears to be holding out for a new contract.  Worth watching as the Steelers game gets closer and closer....

Just a slight clarification, he is at practice every day and takes part in his position drills but sits out team drills. Images of Bud Dupree tearing his knee up on a one year deal last year are probably fresh in his mind.

I'll watch this. Because it will be fun to see Hill have to give up his ring. No way he even comes close, imo. The only thing he has going for him is Bolt is close to (if not already) over the hill*.

*edit: pun not intended, but it works!

Bolt would destroy him at 40 or 70. Destroy him.

40, maybe not destroy him, but I think he'd win.  He actually starts "slow" in comparison to his times.

But there's zero doubt that Bolt is faster.

By the way, he was interviewed at Ravens camp yesterday and maybe it's just me but he sounded like an idiot.

Agree with the latter.  Bolt starts slow because he is so tall.  Takes him a good 30-40 yards to build up that speed.

I hadn’t seen him out of his gear in years. Wife and I both thought he looked Fat. Probably bulked up I realize but man his face looked round.

Well, considering that the idiot in question believes our planet is flat, you shouldn’t be at all surprised, by you impression of him…,

I am NOT a KC whatsoever but you have to respect how they do things. They do seem a step ahead of McBeane and it is questionable how much better the abills can be this year. Did we draft defense well? How good are Tremaine, Ed, AJ, Groot and Boogie going to be? What the Bills need are true blue-chippers to emerge out of this group and to date we have none, imho out that group. We did draft White & JA two major blue chippers but SuperBowl teams always have more than two.

I do like that Groot is a total wildcard. I'm not certain anyone knows his floor or ceiling, but I take solace in that. Had Groot put together another year like he had in 2019 we would have NEVER got him. I really hope he is our blue chipper. I have hopes for AJ and Boogie as well though I really don't understand how they're going to turn into feared pass rushers when I think of feared pass rushers I think of shorter, faster players like Von Miller But we'll see.... Gigantic Reggie White was pretty damn good, too.

Before we get to Rosseau and Basham -   We need Oliver and AJ to come through.   They are our top draft picks anad need to make a difference.  It will be really sad if the Bills have to be dependent on Hughes and Addison this yeaar.
