Maybe it will mutate into a weaker strain.

Have we all realized this diva never has anything uplifting or positive to say about this sham or the American people suffering thru it - and while 600K have tragically died, 330 million are watching the country turn to one of Skumdancer's poop emojis due to hysteria, divisiveness, and the POLITICS OF A VIRUS.

Sure let's just cede all Federal power to the CDC and other agencies in the executive branch and eliminate the legislature and the judicial system.

Time to put the squeeze on my man. You guys can misbehave but you can’t expect us to pay for your misbehavior.

Data from the United Kingdom where their Delta wave began in late May:

The vaccines work, and the kids are not at any more risk from Covid/Delta then they were 18 months ago - per data here maybe even less so - and the media is stoking fear with hospitalization numbers by not providing context like this:

On Thursday, Amanda Pritchard, the new NHS chief executive, claimed that a fifth of Covid hospital cases in England were young people.

Ms Pritchard told the BBC about 1,000 young adults were "really unwell" in hospital, adding that the number being admitted was four times higher than at the peak last winter.

NHS England clarified by saying that patients aged 18 to 34 made up more than 20 per cent of those admitted to hospital last month, up from around one in 20 – 5.4 per cent – at the January high point.

However, it is still clear that the statistics are not quite what they seem.

Earlier this week, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) published a comparison of hospital admissions by age, based on peak levels on January 17.

It shows that in 15 to 24-year-olds, the admission rate throughout July ranged between 55 per cent and 105 per cent of the January peak. For 25 to 44s, it swung between 26 and 62 per cent.

So in terms of actual numbers, young people are currently being admitted to hospital at about the same level – or lower – than during the winter high point.

What is different this time is that the number of older people being admitted to hospital has collapsed thanks to the vaccination rollout, and that has consequently bumped up the percentage of younger people.

The ONS data show that the percentage of admissions in the 65 to 74 age range is now just 12 per cent of the winter peak. For 75s to 84s, it is 10 per cent, while those 85 and over are being admitted at just eight per cent of the previous high.

So it is entirely unsurprising that younger people are making up the bulk of hospital admissions. In fact, the latest data from Public Health England (PHE) suggest that about 68 per cent of all hospital admissions in the delta variant wave are in the under-50s age group....

So you are personally going to go out there and put the squeeze on people?  Let me know when you do that so I can watch the result as you go into some inner city community that has low vaccination rates like Newark or Camden and attempt to impose your will and demand they all comply.  Talk is cheap.  More like you're going to get somebody else to do the dirty work, right?  LOL.

A Doomsday COVID Variant Worse Than Delta and Lambda May Be Coming, Scientists Say

The Delta outbreak is going to get much worse, warns Michael Osterholm, an epidemiologist who leads the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. "The number of intensive-care beds needed could be higher than any time we've seen," he says. He adds that his team's analysis shows that almost every single one of the 100 million unvaccinated Americans who hasn't had COVID-19 yet will likely get it in the coming months, short of taking the sort of strong isolation and masking precautions that seem unlikely in the vaccine-hesitant population.

The variant is so contagious that it's set to smash through every previous prediction of how soon the U.S. might reach herd immunity. "We've failed to shut this down as we have other pandemics," says Jonathan Eisen, a biologist at the University of California, Davis, who studies how pathogens evolve. "It may be around forevermore, leaving us continually trying to figure out what to do next."

Delta, like most of the other variants, blindsided us, worsening and extending the pandemic. When the damage from Delta starts to subside, what other variants will be lurking just behind it to pull us back down again? The World Health Organization is already keeping an eye on several: Eta, which is now in several countries; Kappa, which arose in India; Iota, which first popped up in New York City—and especially Lambda, which has torn through Peru and shows signs of having unusual success in infecting fully vaccinated people, according to one early study. It has already spread to Argentina, Chile, Ecuador as well as Texas and South Carolina.

Don't worry.  When we all get vaccinated we can live life as normal again.....

We're all in this together.

What leftists say: defund police!

What leftists mean: replace local police and sheriffs with federal goon squads who beat and kill the people I want!

"Pay for your misbehavior" when liberals are the ones who support criminals, drug use, and other self destructive activities. It is time for you to explain how you are not a racist when the largest segment of those who are not vaccinated are blacks.

Super highly contagious variant been around since December of 2020 is prevalent in remote county in Colorado and is being analyzed using data from APRIL:

Vaccines less protective in Colorado county with Delta variant surge - CDC study

In Mesa County, the proportion of Delta variant cases more than doubled from 43% for the week ending May 1 to 88% for the week ending June 5. The study looked at data from April 27 to June 6 in the county, which accounted for half of Delta variant cases in the state.

An estimated "crude efficacy" of COVID-19 vaccines against preventing symptomatic infection among the fully vaccinated people in Mesa County was 78%, versus 89% for other Colorado counties where the variant was less dominant.

The lower estimates may "lend support to previous findings that COVID-19 vaccines provide modestly lower protection against symptomatic infection with the Delta variant," the study found.

In another study also published on Friday, CDC data showed that a person infected with COVID-19 who was fully vaccinated is less likely to be reinfected than someone who has had the virus but is unvaccinated.

Point.  How is anything different?

We've been living with Delta here since the spring - it's been the dominant strain here since the spring.
