I haven't seen an update since July 2021. MMR should be mandated. No exceptions other than medically inappropriate (compromised immune system, etc). So too polio, HPV for girls* according to current medical guidelines. Feel free to try to argue otherwise. *as assigned at birth. haha

I did see a commercial where 9 year old girls* can get the HPV vaccine now. 9 years old! That's more of a societal problem than a medical one. I was talking about the unnamed vaccine of the original thread topic, silly.
BillsFanNC Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Finding says I'm obsessing over him!!! Maybe when you stop creating all time PPP ridiculous threads like this one and the reliable media thread along with quite possibly the most delusional stance in PPP history which you then double and triple downed on with "Biden is mentally fit" maybe then I'll stop "obsessing" over you.... But I'll still be ignoring your posts.

The Frankish Reich Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 ⬆️ Meanwhile, perhaps a, umm, I don't know, vaccine scientist? would care to weigh in on how his life has been devoted to the destruction of freedom in the name of public health. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/03/14/opinion/pre-vaccine-america.html

(with obvious monetary motivation) I think parents should be free to get them (or not) for their children, but they should NOT be compelled. Currently the odds of a child being diagnosed with autism in the U.S. is one in 36. Back in the day, kids would get measles and most lived. (you would want to err on the side of caution if your child was immune compromised or had other health issues) I think they need to legitimately explore the vaccines/autism link (if there is one), and do so without the pressure of Big Pharma with its thumb on the scale. There is too much autism to ignore that. None of the 72 Vaccines Mandated For Children Were Safety Tested 1 1

There is too much autism to ignore that. Few things have been more studied in the last two decades. There is no link. It is simply that autism is often diagnosed at around the same time as some childhood vaccinations. It made sense to see if there is any correlation (which is still a long way from a "cause"), but that has been done. We are now at a point where it is nothing more than the classic error of logic: post hoc ergo propter hoc. https://www.chop.edu/vaccine-education-center/vaccine-safety/vaccines-and-other-conditions/autism#:~:text=Vaccines are not associated with, vaccines and development of autism.

I think the bigger reason for the "vaccine cause autism" is that the Wakefield study was actually well accepted initially because it was good honest science. The findings are flawed because they did not rule out other variables and it was not large enough but there was no money to be had by the findings, at least that I have been made aware. The other thing with the Wakefield study was not quickly proven wrong because a study such as that takes time and the attention faded by then.

stevestojan Posted March 22 Posted March 22 It’s 100% a lost cause. Mom of a girl who died from measles is still anti-vaxx: “Absolutely [do] not take the MMR [vaccine]," the mother said. "The measles wasn't that bad. [The other children] got over it pretty quickly." https://people.com/measles-child-death-texas-parents-pediatrician-reponds-11701359 https://www.latintimes.com/anti-vaxx-mom-whose-daughter-died-measles-says-disease-wasnt-that-bad-578871
Orlando Buffalo Posted March 22 Posted March 22 This thread was started as argument that children should get an experimental shot whose benefit died off in week for an illness that was unlikely to cause them any actual problems worse than a cold. It has turned into a discussion of MMR and similar vaccines that last thoughout childhood and are of a known and well researched type. Crazy that liberals had to walk it back that far and discuss about 3% of our country that way. 1
JDHillFan Posted March 22 Posted March 22 https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/measles-ontario-outbreak-more-cases-1.7488696 There's been another sharp increase in Ontario measles cases, as the province begins to release weekly reports on the infectious disease. That's an increase of 120 cases since March 14. https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/03/1161086 Red state assh*les!!
