Carter is a nice guy with good intentions but the 3rd  lousiest president behind  Obama and Biden and just ahead of Bubba.

Venezuela is a dictatorship you idiot

So explain how a duly elected leader who is a socialist would work differently from a dictatorship.  I agree with you they are different but explain not just the difference in structure but the difference of desired and actual outcome.

I am pleased that you call me an idiot.

I have spent many, many of days in Venezuela and watched what has happened first hand.

I am well aware of their political system.

I am well aware of Jimmy Carter going down there to judge their elections, elections that were "democratically" conducted, as he endorsed them.

Otherwise, he would not have gone.

Want to tell Jimmy that it is not a "democracy?"

He went down there to endorse a dictatorship?

I would prefer to not insult posters here, but you sir, are absolutely ignorant.

Save yourself some keystrokes next time

Maduro was elected, was he not?  That is, until he wasn't.  But surely a government can't gain so much power as to make elections moot!

Well, that is what Trump is trying to do. But we are a democratic republic, not a dictatorship

So the logic I gather...

In Cuba , communist socialism is bad because it's not elected

In China, communist socialism is good because they have elections?

I'm learning a lot here today guys

I don't understand they all have health care and 100% literacy

And they can’t vote, speak their free will, open businesses, get vaccinated, have freedom or say somethin* bad about dear leader. You guys say that’s the same as us?

How many communist/socialist hating Cubans do you think the Biden administration will be prepared to accept through their "open border" policy?

If these people are given 5he vote, their natural rights, you think they would dismantle 5h3 socialist health care system? No. No more than  Trump voters would give up socialist Medicare

No they are not the same as us.  But you didn't seem to have a problem when Obama wanted to play nice with a regime that did all those things you mentioned to their people.   I find this whole thing quite interesting.

I mean I didn't mind him taking a different approach after we'd already gone through decades of the previous not really accomplishing anything. Not for nothing but the alternating between Obama's softer stance and Trumps harder one might actually of had an effect.

What kind of effect?
