I'm sorry. I must be stupid.

Using the power of the government to chill free speech of a company seems to be exactly what you and you ilk railed against not so long ago.

If you don't want to go to Disney, then don't. Keep Ron DeSantis out of it.

Kurt Schlichter on The DeSantis Doctrine.

You gotta hand it to a guy who convinces Democrats to die on the hill of defending perverted groomers talking about sex with little school kids. It’s on-brand for their fellow travelers at The Lincoln Project, but you would think that Democrats actually want to win elections. But no – they want to make the schools safe for pedos, and they don’t care who knows it.

But they’ll care plenty in November when parents around the country come out and vote for The Party of Not Hitting on Der Kinder.

Donald Trump has his record of achievement – economic success and peace abroad. But Ron DeSantis has the DeSantis Doctrine, sort of like the Monroe Doctrine, except instead of keeping shady foreigners out of our hemisphere, the DeSantis Doctrine keeps woke fascists out of our lives.

DeSantis pulls into tie with Trump’s favorables

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, DeSantis and Trump are even with a 52% approval in the national poll of likely voters. And he surpasses Trump on the disapproval rating with 33% to the former president’s 45%.

Maybe the lefties won't get their boy Trump after all, lol.

The Repubs have become masters at trolling the left and getting them to self-immolate.  It's really quite impressive.  Almost as impressive as how the Dem leaders get their minions to be in lock-step with these horrible ideas.

I will agree that the assignment is not a great "math" assignment but I could see how it could be part of school wide concept where everyone teaches about Maya Angelou for a week.

Only an idiot would believe this. Talk about a  tweet first then determine facts second thought process.

It's a claim made by Gary Farmer, a Dem running for Senate in Florida.  Enough said.

Why Disney has its own government in Florida and what happens if that goes away

The dissolution of the special district would mean that Orange and Osceola counties take on the assets and liabilities of Reedy Creek. That could lead to higher taxes for those residents to pay off Reedy Creek's debts and take over the care of roads, policing, fire protection, waste management and more.

"The debt service alone for Reedy Creek is over a billion dollars," Farmer said Wednesday. "This bill makes no provision as to how that debt service is going to be assumed. Local government entities must pick up assets and liabilities of any special district that is dissolved."

This is an interesting spin on the victimization play—a Fortune 50 company,CEO salary of $32,000,000+, gross profits ranging from $22-27 billion over the past few years, annualized return to shareholders of nearly 13% over the last 5 years, and with a sweetheart deal of all sweetheart deals established 50 years ago at stake.

On the other hand, it is interesting to see how successful the enterprise has been when operating under a fiscal and regulatory umbrella of their own design.

In the end, I suppose, the tax collectors need to find a way to get whatever is necessary from Disney, and if local tax rates increase, they increase.

ps:  In response to the headline, Disney has its own government because elected officials allowed it.  I’d have loved to be a fly on the wall during those negotiations!
