I know we will not agree but he is not simply getting in on the culture war. He has obvious political ambition and does play that game well but his decisions have helped Florida become the most free state in the Union.

Free? Not if you are a woman

Disney plus has been around what, 2 years?

Disney offers something more then the other Woke streams - the Disney legacy films etc that parents want their kids to have access to

It's been 3 months since Disney spoke out bc their moronic employees who openly admit to pushing the agenda on kids complained they didn't speak up against the bill?

Don't worry.  DeSantis will have a massive platform very soon to tout how you deal with woke Anti American corporations.

Remind us why the state or federal govt needs to deal with corporations legal social policies…

So you think all European women aren't free? Or at you just going to remain ignorant of that most of Europe has a ban after 12 weeks while Florida has a 15 week. I would say this kind of comment is beneath you but it is definitely expected

You're right but I'm very jaded when it comes to politicians.  He's a former lawyer who has degrees from Yale and Harvard.  He knows what he's doing.

On recruiting veterans as teachers: once in a while DeSantis let’s his libertarian side out. This is a decent idea.

But it shouldn’t be restricted to vets. There’s a whole lot of talented people who’ve had successful careers who would be more than willing to teach as a second career. Let’s stop some of this mindless credentialing and not turn away talented/qualified/responsible people who want to help our kids develop.
Compare DC, which has just decided, in its wisdom, to require college degrees for day care workers. Yeah, they always call it preschool or early learning or whatever, but it’s day care.

Some here (commies) have whined and cried about the mean GOP and their culture wars.

A few things.  1.  The left has declared war on culture and social norms.  They asked for this fight.  They'll get it from Rs with stones.

2.  There is literally nothing ever wrong with the economy in their world.  There are no scandals that warrant investigating or coverage.  Everything is awesome.  So when the GOP fights against leftist lunacy they spin this into "that's all the GOP cares about."....

This is false.  We care about math, logic, and the fact that the Ds have been running from self inflicted covid destruction of this country the second they pushed for Russia to distract us with Ukraine.

They want to pretend the devastation they've done to kids isn't real

They want to ignore inflation.

They want to not answer the question - whats a women?

They are a dumpster fire.

They know it.  So their plan is to talk about Trump 24/7/365.  That focus will help pay your bills.  Get inflation under control.  Get gas prices to where Trump had them.  And make us respected around the world.

Never vote for them.  Ever.

And keep ignoring their useful idiot news.

No they won't.

However I'm confident the people will reward the only politician (and best governor in America) for being right on everything from day 1

Um.........what?

Um.......he never said they STOP the spread.  The CDC did.

And he didn't threaten to fire you if you didn't get it.

He never mandated - anything.

And that was always more important then him publicly stating over 1000 times to get vaccinated.  The belief is they still limit chance of death or serious illness.  Maybe.  Maybe not.

He never advocated or promoted covid hysteria like your CCP run CDC/DNC Governors that did far more damage to this country in ways we haven't even understood yet.

The Combination of a virus that weakened as it evolved like they all do - and exposure.  By July of 2021 - we were only 6 months into the vaccination roll out.  But cases were declining well before magic numbers of 70% vaccinated.

He shared vaccine data - the science and data said at that time vaccinated weren't getting it let alone dying.  No harm at all in sharing that.

Some politicians decided to scold us and say they were losing patience with us.  They were going to fire you if you didn't get it.  They should be sent to the sun.  Ash heap of history.

By December of 2021, the data was clear the vaccines were clearly not stopping the virus.

When it came to vaccines specifically Desantis had one of the most pragmatic and logical approaches in the country.

use a statewide grocery chain to get it distribution, prioritize elderly/risk population and encourage people getting it but stop short of draconian mandates.

Some of his stances are way too conservative for me, but he got vaccines right and took a very moderate compromised approach.
