And if she were to become mayor, she wouldn't use connections?  Right.

welfare fraud, unpaid taxes… sounds like every socialist I’ve ever met.

Just wait until she learns how much more she can leach off everyone in her new political spotlight.

Seems like you know a thing or two about hanging with socialists.   Can’t say that I know any.

To aid in the write in... Byron Browns campaign has purchased 10000+ stamps with his name on it ... And handed them out to supporters so you can stamp in his name

Terribly spelled named will not be accepted

Try 150,000 stamps.

Try 150,000 stamps.

The number is not disclosed but seeing as nowhere near 150,000 people vote I don't think it's that high

They said approximately $100,000 worth of stamps... Two bucks for a stamp that be 50,000 stamps

FTA:

We keep hearing about a “racial reckoning.” Maybe the media should start talking about a law and order reckoning.

Here’s some good news from Buffalo, New York:

Community activist India Walton is attempting Tuesday to become the country’s first socialist mayor in decades after she defeated the incumbent mayor, Byron Brown, in the June Democratic primary. Walton’s bid for public office grew out of the racial justice protests that swept the nation following Floyd’s murder, and she had been a fixture at Black Lives Matter demonstrations.

Before her campaign for mayor, Walton embraced calls to shift resources away from police. According to the Buffalo News, Walton used expletive-laden anti-police chants at a rally. Her affiliation with the Black Lives Matter movement has become fodder for Brown, who is mounting a write-in campaign.

On the campaign trail, Walton has largely stopped talking about cutting funding for police and instead stresses the need for accountability for police misconduct and a greater role for mental health professionals in responding to residents in distress.

The socialist has transitioned from insane to merely clueless.

I love this passage:

Jesse Myerson, a spokesman for the Walton campaign, said Walton does not recall using profanity on the campaign trail last year. Myerson added Walton has shifted away from the “slogans of activists” during moments of “searing injustice” and is now focused on becoming an effective mayor.

A poll released Tuesday by WIVB-TV and Emerson College showed Mayor Brown holds a 17-point lead over forgetful Walton.

Well that's a stupid number seeing as only about 40 to 50,000 people will vote in total..

And are you Byron Brown

No.  It’s not.   He had $1m in the account when the campaign bought the stamps.  They are literally the most important thing to that campaign.  Better to have way too many than not enough.

And no, I’m not Byron.

I mean not everyone is illiterate in Buffalo

Not everyone needs an ink stamp to spell Byron Brown.. let's be real I'm writing it in

Voted early.Wrote down Byron Brown, didn’t need a stamp. If Brown wins, it will restore at least a little bit of my faith in humanity and the ability of people in this area to think. Much of it was lost during the last couple of years with protests, massive overreaction to Covid 19, lockdowns, restrictions etc etc.

Stamping the name takes the possibility of (mis)interpretation off of the table.

A special message on behalf of NYC’s progressive community: Good luck today, India Walton!!! And best wishes to everyone on her campaign team, including the wonderful volunteers who I know have been working tirelessly to help get her elected! Remember to focus on saturating the East Side neighborhoods. As you already know, a strong gameday ground game is the difference maker in elections like these (hey, just as it often is the case for late-season Bills games…).

A friendly reminder to Buffalo voters: Mayor Brown is a corrupt neoliberal f$#@face scumbag and a traitor to the working class. His relationships with local real estate developers are completely analogous to Kyrsten Sinema’s connections with the pharmaceutical industry or to Joe Manchin’s ties with fossil fuel barons. It is well past time to systematically identify and remove such proven sociopaths from positions of power. All of progressive America is looking to the Queen City today for inspiration! To paraphrase Marv Levy: “Where else [should our country’s pro-labor revolution begin] than RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW?!”

My prediction:

1. INDIA WALTON (Democratic Party): 30%

2. Byron Brown (Independent): 25%

3. Biron Broun (Independent): 20%

4. Byrun Browne (Independent): 15%

5. Biran Braun (Independent): 7%

6. Biden Brawn (Independent): 2%

7. Marty Biron (The Instigators): 1%
