I also read here last season about how Tua is the real deal and that he is super accurate. We may see that finally this season.

Best line I've heard in a while! LOL It's like NFL defenses said "challenge accepted!" right after that. Edited June 15, 2021 by TheFunPolice 1
BornAgainBillsFan Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Tua's life peaked on January 8, 2018, during the 2nd half of that championship game. He should've announced his retirement from football immediately after the game. 1
YoloinOhio Posted June 15, 2021 Author Posted June 15, 2021 Things should get better with a pass rush 3

buffaloboyinATL Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 So did they replace him with Fitzpat... oh, wait, never mind.
somnus00 Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 He's young, so I could end up being wrong. But I never understood the hype. Accurate, sure. But no zip on the ball. He was throwing to like 5 future first round WRs while at Alabama.
Nihilarian Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 At least he can throw...Cam Newton was heaving ducks all over...

Seriously. I’ll never feel sorry for Dolphins fans after the 1970’s, but I sure am glad I’m not one of them! . Edited June 15, 2021 by Augie 1

I mean, hasn't Tua been working all offseason? All of my Alabama apologist friends said Tua wasn't healthy last year and this year will be different. Does he need just one more month of healing?

I assume they think it was raining for one and they think he was just trying some things out in practice so INTs don’t matter. That could all be true. But I don’t think you magically get better in July when it only gets tougher from here. Maybe you get less aggressive.

H2o Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 I said this last year and I will say it again, I think the hip injury has caused Tua to not be able to drive the ball like he used to. At Alabama his arm strength didn't seem to be a problem. I saw him throw some ropes in college. After the injury it seems he definitely lost some velocity. I thought it might be better this year since he was about 20 months removed from it, but maybe he will just never be the same. The Dolphins FO may be kicking themselves again after this year for passing on Fields, coupled with passing on Herbert to take Tua the previous year. 2
