T&C Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Great dates in Florida and New York... the one down by the finger lakes would be the one I'd hit if I was still back home. The Dates: https://www.dgmlive.com/tours?artist=1 The Article: https://liveforlivemusic.com/news/king-crimson-north-american-tour-zappa-band/ No Zappa Band for the one closest to us... Clearwater, looks to be the California Guitar Trio whoever that is, I'll have to look them up. Quote
SinceThe70s Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Thanks for the heads up, that's a must see. Gavin Harrison playing with the band is a bonus. If the Zappa band warms up, even better! 1 Quote
LewPort71 Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 I held onto the tickets for the 2020 postponed event and received the email confirming the rescheduled date in late August. Mrs. Lew is very excited about this Quote
The Poojer Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Hopefully this will help end the abomination Fripp and his untalented wife have been posting on Sundays these past few months 1 Quote

I remember when I stumbled on one just surfing youtube and I thought "cool"... but after checking out a few yeah, she isn't talented at all. One of them she was wearing a see through top... guess he's into fake boobs. Quote
SinceThe70s Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Damn - the show scheduled for next week in my area got cancelled. Quote
LewPort71 Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 We saw them in MI on Sat night and it was a great, great concert. There is speculation that KC's North America touring days are at an end. Fantastic musicians and the three drummer set up works well. 1 Quote
f0neguy Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Saw them in Saratoga (SPAC) a few weeks ago, they were outstanding! Zappa band warmed up and they weren’t as good as when I’d seen them before, just off that night. Quote
T&C Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 (edited) The trailer for the King Crimson documentary is out... really looking forward to it. https://pitchfork.com/news/king-crimson-unveil-trailer-for-new-documentary-in-the-court-of-the-crimson-king-watch/?utm_brand=p4k&utm_medium=social&utm_social-type=owned&mbid=social_facebook&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR1Lo4UEVoO4uxaifSN5bAAZW7hNjVa1bjyvRESatSVOM25hnAHqgMx2fd4 Edited February 4, 2022 by T&C 1 Quote

I actually got to meet and speak with Robert Fripp in 1980 in Utica when I was at WOUR. He was touring with his League of Gentlemen. He was such a deathly serious fellow then. Which makes me laugh when I see him now making Sunday Lunch videos with his wife Toyah. He looks like he's having fun. What a difference a great woman makes.
