Tom Cotton Takes Down NBC News Anchor After She Shamelessly Lies Defending Kamala Harris

 

 

 

 

Sen. Tom Cotton appeared on NBC News on Sunday, and the topic inevitably landed on Donald Trump's recent visit to Arlington National Cemetery. As RedState reported, the press has been having a field day attacking the former president for a supposed breach in decorum regarding a wreath-laying ceremony for the 13 murdered American service members killed at the Abbey Gate during the Afghanistan withdrawal. 

 

It didn't take long after the event for the truth to come out, which was that the Gold Star families involved invited Trump to come and asked to pose for pictures with him. Still, the press pushed forward with the story in an egregious fashion, including Maggie Haberman of The New York Times calling up the mother of one of the names seen on a gravestone to harass her for a response. 

 

Then, on Saturday morning, Kamala Harris jumped headfirst into the fray, releasing a scathing statement claiming she respected America's war dead but that Trump doesn't. That led to a massive backlash in which eight Gold Star families who were at the ceremony put out video statements slamming the former vice president and noting that she has never agreed to meet with any of them. 

 

 

You might think that would be the end of the story. After all, how do you keep pushing a false story that has even been rebuked by the very families involved who lost their loved ones due to Harris' incompetence? The press took that as a challenge, though, and when Welker faced off against Cotton on Sunday morning, she told an inexcusable lie as she desperately tried to defend the vice president.

Journalist Olivia Nuzzi had the rollout of her new show killed by Bloomberg after she published an article on Joe Biden‘s declining condition, according to a bombshell report.

 

The New York Magazine reporter was the target of an online campaign after she wrote about efforts by Democrats to conceal Biden’s deteriorating condition in a July article titled, The Conspiracy of Silence to Protect Joe Biden.

 

Semafor reports that Bloomberg had planned a splashy rollout for Nuzzi’s show, Working Capital, but abruptly cancelled them after the article came out and some Democrats demanded her firing.

 

Nuzzi’s critics called a racist, sharing tweets from the Obama administration where Nuzzi mocked those who questioned whether the former president was really born in the US.

 

Nuzzi confirmed Semafor’s reporting, telling the outlet she was not surprised, but nevertheless disappointed by Bloomberg’s’ decision.

“I support policies ensuring that federal prisoners and detainees are able to obtain medically necessary care for gender transition, including surgical care, while incarcerated or detained,” Harris wrote in response to the 2019 survey. “Transition treatment is a medical necessity, and I will direct all federal agencies responsible for providing essential medical care to deliver transition treatment.”

Harris’ line specifying that “federal prisoners and detainees” should receive gender-affirming care, including surgeries, would seem to include those held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a division of the Department of Homeland Security. ICE currently operates at least 92 detention facilities across the U.S., according to its official website. Per official records monitored by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), more than 36,000 immigrants were held in ICE detention as of August 2024. (In the 2019 survey, Harris also pledged to reduce ICE funding and close detention centers, but has since adopted a harsher stance.)

Although incarcerated people in the U.S. are routinely denied necessary medical care, that doesn’t mean guaranteeing access to care is a radical position. “Saying you will provide health care to detained people is a constitutional floor,” ACLU attorney Chase Strangio wrote on Instagram on Wednesday in response to a New York Times post that called Trump’s outburst the “wildest sounding attack line that was basically true.”
