I filed my taxes in early Feb. I still have not had my taxes processed. In filing a complaint to my congressman's office I was told that the IRS should be notifying in 2 to 3 weeks. That was a month ago. They didn't respond. It's futile even attempting to call the IRS. I seethe.

Nowhere near the frustration level you’re dealing with but earlier this year it took me like 4 months to get a taxpayer id for a LLC I formed. There is an online portal that is supposed to generate it immediately, but it triggers a manual review and won’t process if your LLC name is similar to one in another state or something like that. So the only route was to fax in the application. They refused to even tell me if they received the application until 30 BUSINESS days had passed. I was just trying to determine if the fax actually made it to someone.

When I returned to my tax preparer to see if she could figure out what the problem was she was able to contact the IRS by phone (special # for preparers).

After more than a half hour on hold she got someone to answer the call. After bringing up my account the person was asked what's the problem? What more information do you need? The person responded I don't know!

All the income I get is documented. All the deductions I take are documented. My financial situation has been nearly the same for the past 15 yrs. Usually my taxes are processed within two weeks. I continue to seethe!

I filed back in February and got my refund within 3 weeks. However, I had to do a minor amendment and am due back an extra $170. Been waiting on that check for months. Did the amendment in May.

Will probably be close to Christmas when you get that $170. Amendments take a few months. Maybe longer now with everything like it's been

We have received ours (my refund was less than $100 which meets my goal of giving as little as possible free loan to government since their loans to banks have reduced savings interest rate so low) but my adult daughter who filed paper forms has not received refunds from US or state of VA,

I have never done the tax refund procedure because it takes a long time to tinker with it. Still, my friends received the tax payment back, but it was a very long time, and I had to hire many more specialists

Why do I feel like I will get a nasty virus just for quoting this?
