Trump was one person.   You really need to figure out how to base your political views around something more than the repudiation of a man not currently in power.

The left has academia, most of the media, corporations, entertainment and tech.

We now even see the left’s influence in the armed services.

Most of the public in the middle and on the right have ceded those institutions.... until now.

The left loves to use the term “systemic”.  Well the influence the left has in pushing their newfound authoritarianism is systemic... while people like you keep talking about one man.... the former President... who’s no longer President... and has been censored by the aforementioned tech oligarchs.

This is as good a place as any to drop this. Peggy brings up some very good points. A lot of what she is saying can be seen from our liberal friends in the PPP microcosm.

It has more to do with Republicans being on the wrong side of history on every single issue over the last 20 years. 10 years ago I started to believe they were just doing it on purpose. No one can be wrong about that many things. Can you think of a Republican stance on an issue that ended up being where the majority of people came around on and agreed with  a few years later?

There isn’t one.

Well good to see you've linked and commented on an article that appears you didn't read or did read and didn't understand because that is not at all what Peggy was talking about.

But to your point doing what's right is often not very popular.   People, for the most part, are lazy morons and the left caters to people's lazy moronic side.

Being popular does not make an issue the best thing, or even right, for the country.

We'll start with a couples Republican issues.  Free markets.  Are you for a free market?  State's rights?  Are you for or against State's Rights?

We’re (Peggy) talking about social issues.
