Process Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Would be such a good signing. But he's claiming that damn near half the league is interested in him. He could just be making up teams on no one would know. Hopefully the Bills are actually pursuing him, great fit for the team and player it would seem.
ndirish1978 Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 He would have played in college with Poyer. Hoping Jordan can recruit him!

The Jokeman Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 I know Nelson is considered a good man cover corner but aren't we more of a Tampa 2 zone defense?
GunnerBill Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Yea this would be a sensible and solid vet add. I expect we are offering a 1 year deal.

And TBH I imagine the change from Man to Zone, is a lot easier than a Zone corner trying to play Man. He is an upgrade you can sign for a few years.

Yeah we are.....and that’s one of our problems imo. We need corners that can man up and play zone as opposed to corners that can play zone but can’t hold up in man 1 1
K-9 Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 42 minutes ago, The Jokeman said: I know Nelson is considered a good man cover corner but aren't we more of a Tampa 2 zone defense? We play a fair amount of man under concepts in our zone coverage schemes, so having a guy that’s good at both is plus. 2

BuffaloRebound Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Doubt he’s gonna take less than $6-7m per year. And a more desperate team will probably give him a multi year deal with $10m+ in guarantees. Can’t see Beane going there. He would’ve tried harder to get a CB in draft.
The Dean Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 I'm surprised this wasn't posted yesterday. You guys are slipping!

The value at CB wasn’t there in the draft. It’s not hard to free up 6-8M for next season. Of the teams listed, we give him the best chance at winning a super bowl....and getting revenge on both of his former teams. Makes perfect sense

Yes he is, Yes Bills play mostly zone, but the Bills need a good CB who can also play man. Some matchups like the chiefs you need that element 2 1
