Unlike other airlines US Air decided to give credit for a year rather than a refund. I was unable to make plans to fly that year so tried to use it in spring following year and was told "it was one year from date of purchase (I purchased ticket when game was announced) not cancelled." I used to fly quite regularly and have not flown on US Air since.
