Anybody watch last night? 

 

Great matchup of styles. Billy Joe was slick as a snake and has great movement 

 

But canelo , man.. he just stalks you down.. patiently throwing bombs at the speed of light

 

And when that uppercut finally landed and broke Billy Joes face... I knew it was all over

 

Props to Billy Joe for finishing out the round.. I can't believe people dog him about not getting off the stool .. he literally had a broken face

Basically one of the few times in his career he's actually been hit in the face hard

I did not see this fight, but Canelo is a monster and hugely fun to watch.

 

For my money, boxing all comes down to hand speed.  The really elite guys have super fast hands, and even at really high levels of competition, hand speed is what separates competitors.  There is only so much hand speed to go around.

 

I absolutely LOVE the Mexican fighters.  They are all tough as nails.

 

My other favorite at the moment is Juan Manuel Marquez, who is made from the same cloth as Alvarez.
