Economy U.S. economy added just 12,000 jobs in October, impacted by hurricanes, Boeing strike

CNBC, by Jeff Cox

Job creation in October slowed to its weakest pace since late 2020 as the impacts of storms in the Southeast and a significant labor impasse dented the employment picture. Nonfarm payrolls increased by 12,000 for the month, down sharply from September and below the Dow Jones estimate for 100,000, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

In what had already been expected to be a downbeat report, October posted the smallest gain since December 2020. The unemployment rate, however, held at 4.1%, in line with expectations. A broader measure of unemployment that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs

Horrible numbers. Please note that August and September rates were revised downward!

Looking forward to a sudden and miraculous economic recovery on Jan 21.

I'm actually expecting the opposite starting with the November jobs report on 12/6. There's no need for the administration to fudge the job numbers, and for that matter other metrics like GDP, and I wouldn't be surprised by a negative jobs print. It will signal the start of the "resistance" message that Trump was handed a great economy but his program and policies are screwing it up aleady as businesses adjust "expectations" for a slowdown. Maybe a market correction to follow?

I wonder if Bush is now considered deep state.  Especially if he says something they dont like.

That dumb ***** is considered "destroying".  Based on TikTok?  Wow.

This is what happens when the country gets it's news from social media.
