If NJ is 23% more expensive you deduct 23% from the income in NJ you end up with a smaller annual net income ($30,993) than you do in FL ($31,032). Keep in mind there are a LOT of people in northern NJ that work in NYC which could skew the numbers too. There is always a story/stories behind the numbers. The story is that you’re full of donkey dust. Ok, Florida = expensive Lets move on.

Last thing….once you remove retiree income, since they’re not actually working or contributing to anything other than the HC industry, it paints a much darker picture for Florida.

If by old fart conservatives, you mean people at peak career income that want less of their income stolen… yes that aligns with the handful I know doing it. Who wants those people that form the tax base? Good riddance! true on the last one, they probably are caring about their own family’s self interests, like every human innately does. 5 minutes ago, B-Man said: Relax bman, we’ve been topic adjacent the whole time. 😂

Governor Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 (edited) What B-man actually means is this….. His friends earned a nice living their entire lives in a northern blue state, got a fat pension, and then instead of giving back to that community that awarded you that nice life, became so incredibly greedy and fled to Florida to avoid taxes because they’re so incredibly cheap and useless. Those are the people leaving NJ. We aren’t sorry to see them go. Edited June 25, 2021 by Governor

Are they really going to clean up this site 1 rock at a time? They’re going to be there for 3 months. Ron DeathSentence better figure something out here.

That's what started the whole thing. Now people are used to their Trump Socialism handouts and we have to wean ourselves from such monies. The free money should have stopped awhile ago. But you have nobody but Trump to blame for this mess. Yup. I do. You're going to have trouble finding employees if you don't pay a living wage. See the restaurant industry. Everyone there is whining because they can't find help. Guess what! It turns out that people have decided not to do their crap work on a crap second shift for a crap wage. scary, dumb-founded commentary

Seniors are on fixed incomes so their money doesn’t get taxed by Florida since there’s no state tax. If you ask me, that savings isn’t enough to make me move to a state that lacks so many services. 22 minutes ago, Chef Jim said: It’s 23% less expensive than where you live. Many retirees are on a greater income than when they worked. What services is FL lacking?
