Yesterday on Twitter, the Arizona Cardinals posted the infamous “Hail Murray” photo on their Twitter feed. I think it’s funny, for a team that’s been in the NFL since 1920, been in three different cities [Chicago, St. Louis, Glendale] and has only won two championships in their 101 year history (last in 1947), I can see why the Cardinals keep showing this play as the Cardinals have absolutely nothing to show for. What a joke of a franchise! They’re the retirement home of the NFL.

I like to think that play fueled our subsequent winning streak. That’s how I deal with it at least. It’s gonna be a much-used highlight probably til Hopkins is outta the league.

I agree. I hope the next time the Bills play the Cardinals that the Bills destroy them, especially for all the smack the Cardinals have been talking after last year’s game.

The funniest part about that play is that the Bills didn't lose another game until the AFCCG, beating team after team by double digits, while the Cardinals went into a complete tailspin and missed the playoffs.

I agree! It definitely fueled the Bills.

The Cardinals always seem to ruin good talent and have always been known as the retirement home for aging NFL players.

I know what you mean...but lets be fair.  Our team hasn't had a lot to show, other than some big plays here and there, for the better part of two decades...it's all they got right now...just like Kyle Williams TD celebrations for us for a few years there..or Nate Clements "destroying" Tom Brady 20 years ago, in a game we still got our asses handed to us.  Just sayin...

Hyde even said that loss was awful they wouldn't change it as it motivated them to come out and slay teams the rest of the season.

I would love to see Kyler come up here for a snow game...

We still show the occasional highlight and roll out players from the 90s - good for them on showing a highlight from this season.

Yeah, idk what the big uproar is over this.

We all know that if Diggs had an equivalent play - hail mary, last play of the game, surrounded by three defenders - we'd be showing that highlight 'til the end of time.

And the Cardinals have as little or less to show. They are the wrong team to be poking the beehive

I get it, but that was also one of the greatest plays in NFL history from a pure athleticism and odds standpoint. I don’t blame them for putting it on a pedestal.

Meh I guess you're right. Hard not to see it as a dig, but it was a pretty epic play.

The only Hail Mary I like watching a replay of is the 1981 Ferguson to Leaks on the last play of the game turning what would have been a horrible loss to a bad Pats team into a 20-17 thrilling come from behind win.

Agreed 100% This is a team that’s been in the league for over 100 years, hasn’t won anything since the 1940’s, but they want to talk smack?! Some of the Cards fans on Twitter tried being witty with “How about them four Superbowls?” Seriously?! That’s three more than the Cardinals have ever been to.

So,

think about how we reveled in Fitz’s Victory over the Pats when we couldn’t get to the playoffs...,

Ok... but I think "Bills Mafia" is at the inflection point of transitioning for "lovable losers/great fans" to being insufferable...almost like Red Sox fans after they won a World Series.

It was an amazing play by Hopkins, not a bad play by the Bills.  Maybe the best play of an entire NFL season.  It is worth celebrating for them.... I don't think celebrating it is them rubbing it in our face.

Our fan base is getting a little cocky.  We haven't won anything yet either... but you know that.  Are the Cardinals all of the sudden one our biggest rivals?
