NEVER pay a kickoff specialist 🙄 i think this is going to have to be the way teams deal with monster qb contracts and the bills are going to experiment. only thing i dont like is i want to see sweeny play more reps. he had very good production before knox was given the #1 spot then was left on the bench. any development there? agree disagree? any other positions you can think of that could have versatility? are injury concerns enough to not set teams up this way? I think that with the new rule implemented last season that requires teams to carry 8 OL on game day rosters I expect to see the true blocking TEs of the league disappear. Their replacements will be backup OTs like Spencer Brown who can do double duty. 2

Orlando Buffalo Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I don't understand the negativity of this thread, if this guy plays 48 plays this year, all within the 20, why not use him as fully as we can? If he can catch then use him to catch TDs like butch rolle for this year and then over next year fully as OT. Catching passed does not cause him to not learn his job this year.
Don Otreply Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Thinking outside the box on occasion is a good thing, and you can bet your bacon that these sorts of ideas do get floated among coaches, they may not go very far, but stuff like Refrigerator Perry as a RB has been done many times, including the Bills, Kyle Williams says hello 👋
John from Riverside Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 It’s not like we haven’t done it before he wouldn’t be a full-time tight end but you could see him taco eligible or in there as an extra offense of lineman block her because we have done that in the past
Simon Says Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 How much TE did Brown actually play? In high school? Let him worry about making this team as a TACKLE, then we can talk trick plays
