Coach Tuesday Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Got no argument with trying to be more difficult to pass the ball against. 6
stevestojan Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Our current defensive linemen are sleeping well tonight. With a bottle of Ambien and Jack. 2 3
Rochesterfan Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Like the player - not sure I totally understand back to back Edge. I think they are going to be doing some different fronts to try and get pressure - 3-4 DEs lining up all over the field. 1
MAJBobby Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Major influx of Youth and talent at DE with the early double dip. This put Addison Gone. And maybe even a Harrison Phillips on notice with Rousseau moving inside on passing downs. this will allow a youth movement in a position group that needed it. I also think the double dip (after signing in the position in UFA) puts Hughes on the Block. 4
billieve420 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I think pick shows that lack of pressure by D line was the source of issues on defense. They are loading up and focus is trying to slow down Mahomes and beat KC. Although I may have waited till later rounds before drafting another one he was best player on their board. 2

Norcalbillsfan Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Maybe they felt best value. Pretty obvious McDermott wants to assault other teams QBs from the edge.

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Boogie Basham is the greatest name for a pass rusher I've ever heard. Get the HoF jacket ready. 1 3

Cheektowaga Chad Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 (edited) Putting ed oliver on notice in my opinion He is more a 3 tech than outside rusher Edited May 1, 2021 by Cheektowaga Chad 1 6 1 1

That would remind me of Lawson...we could definitely use a guy like that...edge setter against the run and able to get the odd sack here and there

Nah, keep the run goin, snag Alim McNeil dt NCSTATE too!!!! Our secondary is awesome, LBs do their jobs, 2 nasty pass rushers, add a DT that can eat people up like KC does with Chris Jones!!!! 1

KC's offseason moves were geared toward the biggest weakness they had against the Bucs. Our draft has been geared toward the biggest weakness we had against KC. If we could have pressured Mahomes, we could have been in the SB. 4

Basham is a high-motor defender with the potential to deliver an immediate impact as a starter in Sean McDermott's defense. A few draftniks had him at 30 early on!
