I’m fully on board with revamping our Defense tonight, after the pick of Rousseau.

If we can come away with a CB and DT, I’ll be feeling good.

Then take a couple flyer tomorrow on a speed WR, OL, maybe a RB.

That being said, Rousseau was nowhere on my radar when we drafted last night, so we’ll probably get Javonte Williams or something.

Thought I would throw this out there to tide over the masses. I like doing Mocks one round at a time so I know who is available, and remaining needs. Had a pretty successful 1st round connecting on 7 of the picks in the first round. Take a look, obviously there will probably be a lot more fluctuation in player rankings the further this draft dips.

Jacksonville Jaguars- Christian Barmore DT Alabama

New York Jets- Elijah Moore WR Miss

Atlanta Falcons- Trevon Moehrig SAF TCU

Miami Dolphins- Tevin Jenkins OT Ok State

Philadelphia Eagles- Asante Samuel Jr CB FSU

Cincinnati Bengals- Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame

Carolina Panthers- Samuel Cosmi OT Texas

Denver Broncos- Dillon Radunz OT NDSU

Detroit Lions- Terrance Marshall WR LSU

New York Giants- Walker Little OT Stanford

San Francisco 49ers- Tyson Campbell CB Georgia

Dallas Cowboys- Kelvin Joseph CB Kentucky

Jacksonville Jaguars- Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah LB Notre Dame

New England Patriots- Nico Collins WR Michigan

L.A. Chargers- Carlos Basham DE Wake Forest

Las Vegas Raiders- Spencer Brown OT Northern Iowa

Arizona Cardinals- Aaron Robinson CB UCF

Miami Dolphins- Javonte Williams RB North Carolina

Washington FT- Jalen Mayfield OT/OG Michigan

Chicago Bears- Rondale Moore WR Purdue

Tennessee Titans- Tylan Wallace WR Ok State

Indianapolis Colts- Levi Onwuzurike DT Washington

Pittsburgh Steelers- Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma

Seattle Seahawks- Jackson Carman OG Clemson

LA Rams- Javon Holland SAF Oregon

Kansas City Chiefs- Baron Browning LB Ohio State

Cleveland Browns- Pete Werner LB Ohio State

New Orleans Saints- Ifeati Melifonwu CB Syracuse

Buffalo Bills- Quinn Meinerz OC Wisc Whitewater

Green Bay Packers- Pat Friermuth TE Penn State

Kansas City Chiefs- Richie Grant SAF UCF

Tampa Bay Bucs- Jabril Cox LB LSU

I would actually love this pick for us.

That would be a great solution. Why would Philadelphia take that trade though?

Because Fromm would be a late 3rd/early 4th in this draft. Hurts isn’t the answer but Roseman didn’t want to go with Fields or Jones this year for whatever reason.  Fromm is good value for Ertz.

Some snippits from various Friermuth's scouting reports..

 But Freiermuth’s value to an NFL franchise won’t be rooted in run blocking; it will be in his versatility as a receiver and the mismatches he’ll win in coverage. That is where the value for tight ends lies anyway, so the deductions on Freiermuth’s pre-draft evaluation for blocking are only marginal. He still feels destined to be an impact player in an NFL offense.

NFL.com analyst and former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah takes a "first look" at some of college football's top players for 2020. This is the 16th in a series of scouting reports that will run throughout the offseason.

As we saw in last season's Super Bowl between the Chiefs (Travis Kelce) and 49ers (George Kittle), the most successful teams in today's NFL tend to have a tight end who performs at a Pro Bowl level. The good news for squads still searching for that missing piece at the position is that there's plenty of talent in the pipeline. I highlighted one such player earlier in this series (Florida's Kyle Pitts), and today I'm taking a look at another tight end with the potential to become a quarterback's best friend once he enters the league. Here's my scouting report on Penn State junior Pat Freiermuth.

Height, weight: 6-foot-5, 259 pounds (school measurements).

2019 statistics: 43 catches for 507 yards (11.8 average) and seven touchdowns.

Game tape watched: Michigan State (Oct. 26, 2019), Minnesota (Nov. 9, 2019), Ohio State (Nov. 23, 2019).

What I liked: Freiermuth has an ideal build for the position. He has a big, thick frame and plays to that size in the passing game. Penn State moves him around the formation -- he collects snaps with his hand on the ground, flexed in the slot and split out wide. He's at his best working in the middle of the field. He uses an arch release to avoid getting jammed at the line of scrimmage and presents a big target to the quarterback down the seam.

Freiermuth isn't an explosive route runner, but he has subtle quickness at the top of his route to create some separation. He also has a good feel for working and settling in zones. He has outstanding hands. He takes some big shots at the catch point and still manages to hold on to the ball. He has a big catch radius and his concentration is superb.

Freiermuth's also very effective after the catch because of his physicality. He pinballs off tacklers. He aggressively attacks safeties and lowers his shoulder to power through tackles when he has a runway. He's effective as a back-side run blocker, too. He takes proper angles and shields off defenders long enough to get the job done.

The all-time leader for touchdowns by a tight end in Penn State history, it was relatively common to find Pat Freiermuth in the endzone over his three seasons in Happy Valley.

While Penn State fans loved Freiermuth for his impact on the scoreboard, there are few underlooked elements to Freiermuth’s game.

When analyzing Freiermuth’s game, there isn’t much to dislike.

With good size and athleticism, mixed with his consistent intensity with the ball in his hands, there are few reasons to believe Freiermuth won’t achieve success in the NFL.

Known by many as “Baby Gronk,” a nod to tight end Rob Gronkowski of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Freiermuth has shown flashes of complete dominance as a No. 1 option on Penn State’s offense.

I'm not saying they won't trade Ertz, but if they trade Ertz for Jake Fromm and then talk about Fromm being even the remotest of answers at QB after actively avoiding all of the 1st round QBs Iggle fans will burn the Linc to the ground. Hurts is going to be their QB for at least this season and if he's not the answer Jake Fromm isn't going to be the guy they tab to be that guy either.

Not saying Fromm is their answer either, but teams take shots all the time on QB’s in the early 4th and there’s a dearth of developmental QB’s in this draft.

Jake Fromm is only the answer if the question is "do we have anyone available to man checkout number 3 for the next hour?"

I don't understand the thinking with using a high pick on interior offensive line. The starters are set, and we have good depth with Lamp, Boettger, and Bates.

I am fine with rolling with this current offensive line, but would love to get a guy who would be Morse's long-term replacement and also able to push Ford and/or Feliciano at G this year.

He might be the go to for some socially awkward texting/social media.

This needs to happen. Our interior line is no bueno.

If Ertz is on the move, and let’s say we make a move for him, could Hughes or Addison be a cap casualty for free up cap space for him?

For the people who don’t understand an Interior Oline pick. They have below average starting Guards, a Center with injury history, and multiple guys on 1 year deals. Eventually we have to stop playing the 1 year deal game with the interior offensive line depth

I wouldn't mind it. That was my dark-horse idea for round 1 after hearing Beane say our first rounder might be more of a long term selection.

I see Beane moving up in the 2nd. Probably for a corner

I worry we don't have the ammunition. We have a late third rounder, no comps, and no fourth rounder.

Could include a few of our late round picks this year that would have a real uphill battle making the squad anyways

The other way of looking at it is if you can find cheap IOL depth on 1 and 2 year deals every year why commit high value draft assets to the position? Focus those assets on the spots where cheap starters do not come easy in FA.

I think IOL is still possible somewhere in the draft... but not before the 3rd round.

Just don't think that's enough to move up significantly in the second. I don't expect the good remaining corners to last past 45 or so.

The Bills offensive line is actually good overall. I feel like people don't watch other teams. Just about every team in the league has o-line problems. The Bills' group is currently deep with competent players. For instance, Boettger is certifiably decent.

Because to get where they want to go they will play good defenses with good defensive lines that will murder the middle of the line and neutralize your QB and entire passing game with immediate pressure. Also, you can't run the ball worth a damn ever. Get a guard, enjoy the rookie contract. Win.

No clue how accurate they are, but using drafttek's trade value chart:

61 = 292

93 = 128

161 = 25.4

174 = 20.2

213 = 4.6

236 = 1

and

45 = 450

61 + 93 = 420 in value, so if we're doing equal value, then we would just have to add 161 and 213 to get to a total of 450 in value.

Then we still would have 174 and 236. And that's without factoring in possibly adding a mid-round 2022 pick.
