GO BILLS! With what capital? We have five year options coming up we need to get experience. Need CB/DT/OL/WR/RB in no particular order.
Rock-A-Bye Beasley Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 There was a time about a month ago I really wanted and hoped we would be able to get Rousseau. Then he plummeted in mock drafts after his pro day. But if he had played this year who knows if he goes too 10-15 2

Not hating just hate to hear BPA, BPA and we go need, JOK was top on board even if we have Milano locked up imagine the schemes with the two of them? Leslie couldn’t, I guess. That said, I trust Beane except with ex-Panthers. 😉 All this talk about JOK...who admittedly looked good at ND. Apparently...with the Bills only playing 2 LBs, they didn't see him as a fit. They have two young LBs already and two aging DEs. They may have had both players rated high...but took the one who was the best fit for the team. 3

That is why most are not thrilled I know. I wanted Oweh recently and Rousseau a month or two ago. It’s just interesting defending them for different reasons 1

ExWNYer Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Beane said they like Rousseau's versatility to play inside and outside. 1

I think it's worth a shot considering what was on the board. Number two in sacks in 2019 behind only Chase Young! His pro day hurt him a bit. A somewhat project that needs to get in better shape and I'm sure he will in Buffalo, no question. I like the pick too. EDIT-The kid would have been a top 15 pick this draft with a better pro day. For some reason this kid reminds me of a Mario Williams. Edited April 30, 2021 by Nihilarian 1

He is a man of his word. Respect Brandon Beane.

Rock-A-Bye Beasley Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Someone on the draft network compared Rousseau to Calais Campbell before the ravens first pick. It will be interesting to see if they ask him to add or lose weight 2
mjdotson Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Awful selection. Slow, stiff DE with no suddenness or explosion, so we take him ahead of one of the most explosive and athletic ILB’s in the draft and who is still on the board (JOK). Complete *****-the-bed pick that screams “*****, everyone we wanted is gone, so let’s go full-Buffalo and draft another D-lineman.” Very uninspiring. Arguably the worst Buffalo pick since McCargo. 1 1 1 1

KOKBILLS Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 I've continually heard Rousseau compared to Calais Campbell as a prospect...Some believe he'll be best gaining weight and rushing from the inside exclusively on obvious passing downs. Beane just mentioned he would move inside in the Nickle D...But Beane also said he figured Rousseau would stay around 260-270... This is definitely a trust the process pick...I doubt very much he would have been available at #30 had he played last year...Maybe it would have been 15-25 and not top 10 like some had him after 2019...But probably not 30... 1

As I said in another thread, Beane lies to you all the time and this board laps it up. He drafted straight need which is exaclty what he should do. They need to get younger on the DL. This kid has the height and the production you want out of your modern 4-3 DE. It's clear they have no intent to move away from Edmunds at MLB. 1 1
Playoffs? Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 I’m indifferent. I guess I gotta trust the process. However I’ve been somewhat underwhelmed by Oliver, Edmunds and AJ... so I’m really hoping I’m wrong about them or Rousseau is a stud. just wonder if we could’ve traded back a few spots and gotten him there.. but if he was their guy, he was their guy. 1
