Coach Tuesday Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 (edited) LOL. If they actually spend MORE than a single first round pick on Etienne... my hope is that Etienne is a smokescreen and they're moving up for a corner or Phillips. Edited April 26, 2021 by Coach Tuesday 10 2 2 1
TheBeaneBandit Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 I believe the real target might be Harris. 4 3 1
Nextmanup Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Beane is a lot smarter than moving UP to craft a RB in the first round! At least I sure as hell hope he is! 7 6 2
NI Bills Fan Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 All for trading up... but not for Etienne. One of the top CBs or DEs I could see the justification in moving up for. 8 2
HappyDays Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 (edited) I could imagine him hearing that the Bills are calling around to trade up, but how would he know who we are trying to trade up for? Is Beane telling teams why he wants to trade up? This is usual draft rumor garbage. Edited April 26, 2021 by HappyDays 16 8 2
YoloinOhio Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Is this like the time they were “trading up for Quinnen Williams” and Schopp almost ended it all live on WGR 1 7

dorquemada Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 I trust Beane on this. My gut says they need a dynamic playmaker more than anything, and because of the rest of the offseason moves have the room for a bit of a luxury pick. I like Moss & Singletary but neither of them are game breakers, and neither one is keeping DCs up at night. Etienne & Harris are. 1 1
SCBills Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 This sounds like "Bills like Etienne" + "Jets/Jags like Etienne" + "Bills looking to jump both of them" = "Bills want to trade up for Etienne" 1
Malazan Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 or Beane is calling around asking about a trade up to: 1. Gather intelligence on the cost of moving up 2. Throw up a smokescreen 1 1
Inigo Montoya Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 I'm surprised to hear anything about the Bills' plans or movements. Beane runs a pretty tight ship on information. Must be the other side of the equation whispering in ears. 1 1

Bangarang Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 (edited) I would imagine every GM in the league is having discussions about possible moves in the 1st round. Maybe ETN’s was a potential target for Beane, but I’m sure he has others as well. Edited April 26, 2021 by Bangarang

I'm just stating where the assumption from McShay is likely coming from. I highly doubt Beane is openly telling people he wants to trade up for Etienne. 2
McBean Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Targeting another playmaker? GOOD. Exactly what we need 2 1

I watched every game he played in college. Never goes down on first hit, is fast enough, decent hands, and runs through people on a regular basis. When he's not doing that he's hurdling them. Some crazy stat about how many of his runs resulted in a 1st down, often times on a 1st down. Did you watch him at all? 1 1
