And do we even need another downfield WR?  Would his presence mean less reps for G. Davis?

Not worth it.

You are comparing one of the very best ever to Gabe Davis? C’mon man

The Bills were one of the very best offenses last season.  Meanwhile the Falcons missed the playoffs 4 out of those 6 years.  A difference of 3 yards a catch is meaningless.

Yep and Diggs was a big net positive.....but again that doesn't make it better than any of Jones' seasons.   With 3 yards more per catch Diggs best season would have been the second highest yardage season of all time right between Calvin and Julio.   Not that being just behind Victor Cruz for top single season yardage years isn't nice but it's a big difference in the class of company.

Sure it makes it better.  The name of the game is production, not average.  You don't win rushing or receiving titles based on average.  Meanwhile Calvin Johnson played on just 2 winning teams in his 9 year career and Julio has played on 4 in his 10 year career.

The only reason this shouldn't/won't happen is the cap and Josh's future contract.

Julio Jones for a 2nd/3rd Rounder is a no brainer.

Look at our 2nd Round picks over the years and argue that we're better off that way.

James Hardy, Jarius Byrd, Torell Troup, Aaron Williams, Cordy Glenn, Robert Woods, Cyrus Kouandjio, Ronald Darby, Reggie Ragland, Zay Jones, Cody Ford, AJ Epenesa.

A bunch of outright busts, and none of those guys became Franchise cornerstone players. At best you've gotten a couple of good years out of these guys and they moved on to other teams.

Trade or Cut Mario Addison - $4M

Convert $10M of diggs salary to Bonus - 7.5M

Convert $6M of Dawkins' salary to Bonus - 4.5M

Salary Cap savings - 16M

And so on and so forth.

Also, Julio has an out year after 22 of a 7.75M Cap hit, if you're worried about Allen.

He's missed 11 games over the past 7 years. Easily worth the gamble of a Day 2 pick IMO if you can fit his contract under your cap.

That you were able to figure that out is impressive.  But there were lots of other games that he was not nearly full speed.  When healthy he is still an upper echelon receiver.  The problem is his legs are like a porcelin China doll.

That is about right and not necessarily bad drafting.  Somewhere around <50% of 2nd round picks ever become multi-year starters.

Julio sealed a Super Bowl win over Brady and pretty much ended all hope of a comeback only to have Shanahan ***** it away.

Yup. How easily people forget.
