Atlanta is taking trade calls on superstar wide receiver Julio Jones, according to the MMQB and later confirmed by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The MMQB reported that the Falcons would be looking for a first-round pick if they were to move their future Hall of Famer.

I don't foresee them getting a 1st round pick for him but I've been wrong before. Would be an interesting buy-lowish candidate for a team like Miami, Jacksonville, or Baltimore though.

He doesn't fit under the cap and isn't a team fit here.  3yr 38m left on base salary is a bargain for taking a chance on a really good WR.  He's older, and missed time last year with injuries, but you can get out of most of the money (so the risk isnt that high) and he's coming off a 6 year run as one of the best WRs in football.

Until he pulls a hammy or sprains his foot for the umpteenth time in training camp.  An all time great player........when healthy!!

He's missed 11 games over the past 7 years. Easily worth the gamble of a Day 2 pick IMO if you can fit his contract under your cap.

Even so, how would we pay him?

And do we even need another downfield WR?  Would his presence mean less reps for G. Davis?

Not worth it.
