someone who wouldn't pass a sobriety test

hopefully nothing surfaces that shows diggs in florida in and around that time

So either Diggs and his buddies or just his buddies were out at the strip clubs near the airport, got hammered and Ubered home?  That’s my takeaway here.

If that was what happened, that would be the story. But it's not the story.

The tow truck came, fixed the flat, and left it?

Sorry, but that make no sense.

How did they get paid, etc?

The tow truck might have come, saw no one there at whatever time it was, and left without doing anything.

Or maybe it never came.

Or maybe it was never called, and the people involved called an UBER or a taxi or a friend and got TF out of there and figured "we'll deal with this in the morning"

You must be old? Remember that episode of the Honeymooners?

Which episode?  From the 'stand alone' series, or going way back to the Pert Kelton as Alice days on the 'Cavalcade of Stars' variety series? 🤔

If he was out drunk and chose to Uber home, that would be fine, but that's not the story his team had laid out. He said a friend was driving, got a flat, called a tow truck and left. The police then had it towed after it was found abandoned.

Those vehicles are a repair nightmare just ask Scotty Kilmer.

If you leave them on the railroad tracks you can collect the Insurance money

So a non story and it happens all the time in florida.

Sometimes it's a carjacking and abandonment.

Sometimes it's a drug deal gone bad.

Sometimes grandpa's senility took over.

Combinations of the above are permitted.

I don’t know about that.  Maybe they just went with “flat tire” instead of “hammered at the strip club”.  Always possible that there is more to the story too.  But that’s really not the general public’s business.  Nor is it if a bunch of guys went to a club, drank and then were responsible getting home.  Which brings us back to “flat tire”.  Seems like a reasonable thing to say for privacy reasons.  And now you made me google maps it.  Unsurprisingly there are several gentlemen’s clubs near the airport where the train tracks pass under the highway.  I’d bet that someone could reasonably park where his vehicle was found, especially if it was a busy night.  Go figure.  And again, nothing nefarious seems to have taken place so why would anyone worry about it?

this reminds me of an incident that happened to the bear's lance briggs several years ago.  he crashed his lamborghini into an expressway light pole late sat night and left it there, never reporting the accident.

he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, much better than the alternative !

Please don't hurt yourself bending over backwards to create a new story for them. Nobody would judge them poorly if he simply said, we went out, we had too much to drink, so we got a ride home. In fact, they would likely be praised for being so responsible.

This is not their story.

Uh, I did.

The police had the car towed. Did it have a flat at the time? Or had it been repaired and left in the bizarre location?

"The rep says Diggs was eventually informed of the situation and is now having the car repaired at a Mercedes-Benz dealership."

The story is that a friend drove the car, had a flat and instead of waiting for the guy to come decided to leave the car there. The car got repaired proving it had some sort of issue. Anything else is just baseless speculation.

Well, this is a weird story. Let's hope there was nothing crazy involved...

https://www.tmz.com/2021/04/23/stefon-diggs-mercedes-benz-g-wagon-abandoned-miami-train-tracks/

I mean, there probably was something crazy involved, but whether it involved Stefon Diggs is another question.

He's got two brothers, and I think Trevon lives and trains with him in Miami off-season.  If Diggs wasn't in town, at a guess, lent the car to his 'lil bro.

Or to a friend, who knows?

IIRC, plenty of strip clubs and casinos in that vicinity and the roads are kind of confusing in broad daylight

I don't deny this, but none of it adds up. Sorry if that's inconvenient.

Sounds like a good friend, though. Leaving a 100k+ car sitting feet from train tracks and abandoning it. I'm sure it was totally innocent.
