SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/nfl-2021-5-teams-chance-17-0/ KC, Tampa, GB, Buffalo and the LA Rams The word “chance,” as defined by the fourth definition on Dictionary.com, is “an opportune or favorable time; opportunity.” This list isn’t a prediction that these teams will go 17-0; rather, it is merely an opinion on who could pull it off in 2021. The Bills had a rough two-game patch after a 4-0 start, and then had Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins catch a Hail Mary pass in Week 10. Otherwise, the Bills may have finished 14-2. All general manager Brandon Beane has done is continue to double down on Josh Allen and maximize their potential while their franchise quarterback is on his rookie contract. The division may be problematic for them as the New York Jets may not be as big of pushovers, the Miami Dolphins are coming into their own, and the New England Patriots may rebound from a strange season.

Mr. WEO Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 The Rams hype is reached insanity. I don't see them beating the Packers. McVay's mystique dissipated 3 years ago. 2

Tampa is realistic just because their division isn't very good. I haven't looked at their whole schedule. All of these teams should be the clear cut best in their division in order to have a chance at 17-0 and I don't even see the Rams as that.
Mark Vader Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Rams are good, but the NFC West is too tough to have a team go undefeated. 1
Utah John Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Hey, why not. Everyone on this board has the chance to win the lottery. Well, they do if they buy at least one ticket. It's just not likely. The league is built to let teams rise up and then struggle to maintain their edge, and finally slip back into the pack. A team that uses a year or two to learn how to win, after years of struggles, will find it has only a few years left before key players depart to get more money or a better chance to start, or retire, or get injured. It's just a very rare occurrence.
JMF2006 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 The Chefs and Bucs are pretty big roadblocks to 17-0 13-4 would be a reasonable projection Then add in 3 playoff wins for 16-4
Greg S Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 The division has gotten better. It will be difficult for them to go 6-0 again. My guess is the Bills win between 12-14 games.
Metal Man Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Tampa looks to me the most realistic out of the 5 based on their schedule. Their division shouldn't be much of a challenge now that Brees is gone. They play the dumpster fire NFC East and then have the AFC East for out of conference. Obviously there are always surprise teams that rise and fall each year but based on what we know from last year it seems like the Bills, Packers and Seahawks are the only teams that might give them trouble.
thronethinker Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 In todays NFL it is 100% possible to go undefeated and win 0 games in the same season.

Tampa is a team full of grizzled vets........and now a SB ring..........I doubt they will see the value in playing that hard in the regular season after they just went from 7-5 to winning the SB. Chiefs are still the best bet.

A Tamps 5-12 season with a lot of Brady temper tantrum meltdowns would be great television this fall. To me the AFC just seems like a tougher road to 17-0 for any team in that conference.
