Greg S Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Well that sucked. For 324 million Cole certainly didn't pitch like an ace. 1 Quote

I think he stays if solely just to piss off @Gugny. 😆 🤣 Quote

I think Yankees fans want World Series appearances/wins, though. 1 Quote

Most wins by far and will forever hold that record was an an under .500 lifetime manager... Granted before playoffs, he had 5 WS Champions... Playoffs in baseball are an abomination... Sign of the modern short attention span. 50 Years... Boone's Championships will come. Only been at it for 4 seasons and is .601. Just my opinion though. 😉 Quote

I was skeptical of the Gallo acquisition when it happened because I think they'd have been better off with more of a contact hitter. Hard to put all the blame on Gallo. Boone kept putting him in those positions. Quote

I guess 27 Championships and double the League Pennants will do that over 100 years. ...And here the Bills are starving for one simple SB Championship in their 61 years of existence. Hate if you want... But you expect too much, even from the famed Yankees. The Yankees are fine. This is why the game needs them. It's great when they win, almost better when they lose... He mismanaged a very talented team. To get eliminated in the first post season series is inexcusable. And they haven't won, nor appeared in a World Series, since 2009. For the Yankees ... with that payroll and that talent ... that is a long time. 1 Quote
BADOLBILZ Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Marcus Thames and Phil Nevin have been terminated. Small step getting rid of Thames.........but it's necessary. Two years of very disappointing hitting performance from that lineup means there deserves to be change. Same as when they canned Rothschild. They need an upgrade. Quote

Is the bar really that high for the Yankees? Boston does the same thing. They live up to the hype. Only one can win. AND, just happen to play in same Division. Quote
