Orlando Buffalo Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 I had to go to a training about mental wellness yesterday and it amazes me how people would brag about their mental issues. Several people, including the presenter, proudly stated that they took "mental health days" several times a quarter and that if it left their coworkers in a lurch, then so be it. I feel bad I missed a day for this training which was mandatory and I told them 3 weeks ago. I don't think people should be shamed for working on mental health but celebrating it is absurd. 1

I can agree with this. I feel that a lot of people try their problems, legitimate or otherwise, their personality.
T&C Posted March 8, 2023 Author Posted March 8, 2023 The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate. ~Noam Chomsky

Orlando Buffalo Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 I am thinking I have figured out who @BillStime really is- Keith Olbermann. It all computes: too much time, random crazy rants, believes every conspiracy theory, bitter, and now they use basically the same jokes. Yesterday Billsy tried to mock me by insinuating that I was someone who was the most successful at their field and now KO does this: Billsy test it on TBD and then rolls it out to the world unless he gets destroyed here. 2

Nah. Billsy is Jimmy Carter as a young man, well as an old man too. Idealistic and kind spirited but lacking some practicality. People like that are great. Edited March 12, 2023 by redtail hawk 1
