I read the whole thing quickly assuming what direction you are going, my mistake. It is odd to me that you have spent this much time arguing for more illegals while admitting they don't improve anything. If you had anything you would stop with name calling and explain how NYC has benefitted.

All crime by people who could have been prevented from entering the country or deported before they committed criminal acts is prima facie more crime.

I know the crime situation in NYC fairly well because of family who lives there and they want me to visit but admit there are areas you avoid, so I ask this questions, why did the major crimes jump from under 100k from 2017-2020 to 126k in 2022? Is it the people of NYC went nuts, or is it the people that moved to NYC?

Yup.  You can believe they commit crimes at a lower rate (based on fudged data) but the point is that the crime rate by those who enter illegally (besides the original crime itself) should be zero. 

 

If I'm someone's house and I, say, break things at a lower rate than the occupants' kids, it still doesn't look good on me.  Especially if I broke into said home.

Even if there's truth to the idea that the overall number of immigrants lowers the total crime rate, the impact of each and every crime committed by illegal immigrants isn't a percentage. It's real, and it's cumulative. And it didn't have to happen.

 

Arguing that the impact of illegal immigrant crime doesn't matter and that sanctuary cities make people safer because of an appeal to percentages is ignorant and cruel.

As I stated, you won, you made one pointless pedantic claim that is true so long as you treat legal and illegal immigrants as the same. Your defense of that one point is hilarious since you admitted that the one point does not make the city better. Your supreme effort to simply not admit that Biden and the Dems immigration was not a total disaster is just entertaining now. The best part of your "attack" is that I live in a "bubble", where more than 20% of my area is immigrants, but they are legal so different than the ones I was trying to discuss.

I am going to point this out again, that the concept that people who are in the country illegally are going to as a whole be more lawful than those here legally is insane. The article points out that in NYC "the NYPD says it is barred from tracking the immigration status of offenders." Which means that they are not being recorded as an illegal.

 - To use your term, "Illegal immigrants" have committed a crime by being here. Their crime rate starts at 100%. Any additional crimes committed by illegal immigrants (again, to use your term, I prefer foreign invader) are crimes that would never have happened had sanctuary cities enforced federal laws.
