They are right, but not for why they think. The media tried way too hard to campaign for her and got repeatedly exposed for the corrupt practices that they have gotten away with for the past few years. Whether it was the change in attitude towards Biden's mental health, the skewed fact checking in the ABC debate or the highlight of a clear outlier Iowa poll the weekend before, people saw through it and were willing to vote against it.

Never forget that the media tried to gaslight the entire nation into picking a drunken candidate with no platform who was selected by the party with no vote despite not even finishing in the top 10 during the 2020 primary.

This ***** is very interesting and deserves it own threads.

the conspiracies for this one are wild. there’s outside thought that he was a hired hitman with the mission to silence him before he went to court over his insider trading lawsuit.

This killer was very brazen. The fact he’s still at large is very interesting.

I graduated from a large public university in 2006.  And a lot of the things I didn't like about it then are now things that seem to plague the Democratic Party: too far to the left and liberal, white men are viewed in a negative light, and too abstract economics.  Outside of basic economics principles of supply and demand most of the coursework was too abstract in nature.  It was just mathematical theory about how the economy should be run by "the man".  Really a lot of my college education could be considered "woke" before there was that phrase for it.

Even when Obama was still largely liked by people I do recall some thought of him as an elitist back in 2008.  He had that quote about guns and religion he had to backtrack on.

My point is how different is the population now than 15 years ago?  I think Trump appealed to a lot of disinterested voters.

Krugman's latest NYT column.  I think he nails it

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/09/opinion/elites-euro-social-media.html?unlocked_article_code=1.gU4.3jHh.DpQbOQmvcOva&smid=re-share

that while resentment can put bad people in power, in the long run it can’t keep them there. At some point the public will realize that most politicians railing against elites actually are elites in every sense that matters and start to hold them accountable for their failure to deliver on their promises. And at that point the public may be willing to listen to people who don’t try to argue from authority, don’t make false promises, but do try to tell the truth as best they can.

Precisely why over half the country if fed up with democrats and their "policies".

Like how he "nailed it" when he said the internet would be no more effective than the fax machine in economic issues?

Or when he recently stated that 70% marginal tax rates were "reasonable."

I thought the guy retired, but not soon enough.

Kennedy’s Lawyer Has Asked the F.D.A. to Revoke Approval of the Polio Vaccine

"The lawyer helping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pick federal health officials for the incoming Trump administration has petitioned the government to revoke its approval of the polio vaccine, which for decades has protected millions of people from a virus that can cause paralysis or death."

From the same article.

Like Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Siri insists he does not want to take vaccines away from anyone who wants them. “You want to get the vaccine — it’s America, a free country.” he told Arizona legislators last year after laying out his concerns about the vaccines for polio and other illnesses.

I thought we approved of "choice"

Defending the choice to spread polio is certainly a position.

Well done on blaming Trump for the damage you have done for 4 years and then stating," well you can't turn back time". The Bills can't change the losses during the drought to wins now but it is certainly better now than then because we have Josh and McD.
