“freedom seeds” is the gayest thing I’ve ever read, and if your masculinity boils down to playing dress-up and shooting targets on a range then your masculinity is more fragile than a porcelain doll

"That's gay" - The party of love and acceptance.

Pointing out that something sounds gay has no bearing on whether or not I think it’s a bad thing. Just amusing to hear from the party of ultra macho masculine Hulk Hogan Americana

How much for 8 supernatural blessings?

They are a package deal so you need to cough up the full $1,000. No discounts.

How gay, exactly?

Porcelain dolls want to know!

Gorgeous Virginia spring day for a protest.  500 people with signs in a town of 10,000.  5%!!!  All kinds of folks.  Average Joes and Janes, veterans, hippies, lawyers, doctors, professors, coal miners, gay, straight...you name it.  I'd estimate 10 positive horn beeps for every middle finger or taunt and this is a deep red area.  One dude in a jacked up pick up kept circling playing his stupid "Dukes of Hazzard" horn.  There was a young women behind me that looked a bit like Daisy.  So it evened out.  Best poster:  "Types of Ticks -  Deer Tick, Mouse tick , Luna-tik with pictures of the insects and trump.  my "obey  the constitution" was very tame.  It was a good time and somewhat reassuring.

Yes, that it was just 5%...

Dude, if Billy Strings was playing Roanoke, way less than 5% of the population would go see him and he's huge in these parts.  As I said, this is a red area.  some folks were likely put off by the possible slings and arrows.  If  5% of the national population marches today, that's 15 million.  good enough for me.

Definitely sounds like a good use of liberals' time!

Does anyone believe the tariffs caused the business to close in 1 day?

I do.  The wine shop in town is teetering.  owner says most of her profit comes from French wine- great quality at a low wholesale price.  She' going to give it a few weeks but she is distraught.

Absolutely.

Small businesses operate on small inventories.

I can sell that case of champagne for $1000 today that I bought from a wholesale distributor for $900. 10% profit margin.

But to replenish my inventory, I'm gonna need to pay that distributor $1080. Where's that excess cash lying around to pay the extra 20%? Answer: there isn't any. I've gotta charge maybe $1100 for that case of champagne to have enough to keep my inventory up to sell the next case. And that's with me eating way more than half the cost of the tariff, which doesn't leave me with enough margin to keep my 5 employees on board. Maybe I let one go and work a few more hours myself.

And so on.
