BF_in_Indiana Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Whatever. It's easy to take a thoughtless opinion that matches your own thoughtless opinion and say "Ouch!" 321289 Please explain what is so "thoughtless" about it? It is a FACT that the Buffalo Bills have spent a lot of money on free agents under Donahoe yet his teams are only 26-38 over his tenure. You have yet to provide one FACT to support your claim that the Bills are headed in the right direction. You could try to point out that we finished 9-7 last year which is a step up, but then we went and dumped Bledsoe and are now starting a rookie quarterback. So before you call everything presented on the negative side of the Donahoe debate "thoughtless" it would help if you could defend him yourself with some facts.

He provided two facts.
San-O Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 He can probably spell "barely", though. BTW, I see you didn't learn from being B word slapped on this subject the last time. 319233 Yeah, by all the Kool-Aid drinkers. See mirror. And where are all the 5th, 6th round Pro Bowlers? Hell, where are the 5th, 6th round starters? I just don't see them.
San-O Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 NO, but opinions based on bullcrap do. You don't realize that in all your criticism you present an obviously lopsided view of reality. Donahoe has made some mistakes - show me a GM who hasn't -- but he's also done some damn smart things. And I think the good outweighs the bad. If you don't take the good with the bad and evaluate it as a whole -- which you and your anti-Donahoe nazis continually do, it's difficult to have a rational discussion. End of story. 321286 26-38. Put down the Kool-Aid.
todd Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 26-38. Put down the Kool-Aid. 321349 That's exactly what I'm talking about. Opinions in a vacum. I'm surprised you keep coming back for more, given the royal bitchslap you've been dealt here in the past.

Anyway, where are all the second day starters? Still waiting to hear back on that one. Also, I generally consider the source and am learning to stay clear of TD'd children. You know who you are. And oh, 26-38 is not an opinion, it is the Buffalo Bills record under Ole' Whitey's tenure. Really, I checked.

Alaska Darin Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Yeah, by all the Kool-Aid drinkers. See mirror. And where are all the 5th, 6th round Pro Bowlers? Hell, where are the 5th, 6th round starters? Really, I checked. 321411 I will bet you whatever amount you deem necessary that everyone who has run you over about this in every pointless thread is probably just as critical of Tom Donahoe as you are, but are rational enough to consider his successes and his worth to the franchise as well. Everyone here knows full well that Buffalo needs a playoff appearance or TD is most likely gone at the end of his contract. TD will tell you that himself. So why must you continue trying to tell us what we think of him, whether we think it or not?

I did not bring up the Pro Bowl, another poster on the thread did. What does this have to do with the Buffalo Bills draft over the last four years. I see one starter, McGee, drafted on the second day of the draft on our roster. Seriously, what is so difficult to grasp about this concept?
Alaska Darin Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Dear underachieving nitwit, those are very interesting pieces of data. Way to man up. I did not bring up the Pro Bowl, another poster on the thread did. Uh, yeah... Yeah, by all the Kool-Aid drinkers. If you'd take your tongue off the window, you might be able to understand how bad you're losing this argument. The windex must be affecting your cognitive reasoning ability. Perhaps you could apply for a grant to study yourself.

Don't see too many.

Go over to drafthistory.com and take a look at every draft over the last decade. You may actually learn something.
San-O Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I did not bring up the Pro Bowl, another poster on the thread did. I'm actually rooting for you now. 321440 Please don't. You should read the thread before jumping on someone else's mistake. See page one (1) of the thread referencing 5'th and 6'th round Pro Bowlers. Again, I did not bring this up, simply responded, and the Kool-Aid drinkers don't like it. Regarding TD's success, we must have different opinions of that. One year with one game over .500 is not success. It's called average.

See page one (1) of the thread referencing 5'th and 6'th round Pro Bowlers. What does it matter who brought it up first? You did not respond to the question, you parroted the question - (big difference), thus you got the response as well. As to the inane point of 2nd day draftees as starters, if you ask the question, you should have the temerity to know the answer. And not just in the vacuum of the Bills' roster and how many 2nd day draftees by TD are starting, but how does his record compare to the league at large. To my knowledge, Patriots & Eagles are tops in the league in developing their own talent and getting max utility out of all players brought in the system. Otherwise, I doubt that TD's record is worse than the mean in the leagu, and I'd guess that he's in the top 10. Regarding TD's success, we must have different opinions of that. One year withone game over .500 is not success. It's called average. 321451 Twisting the argument a bit? The thread started as to the Bills not sucking, not that they are successful. Being average means they don't suck.
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Holy crap! SoCal's beating is almost as good as Sue's in the homework thread, or BF and Tracy in the CD burning thread. Classic stuff...

Noticing a pattern here: anyone with over 5,000 posts, never mind. I should have the temerity to know the answer, but you can "guess". As to inane, the thread was about the draft. They do have a second day of the draft last time I looked. Put DOWN the Kool-Aid.
