Rico Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 At one time before the 1985 draft, it was considered in the media that the Bills with the first pick would take Doug Flutie, not Bruce Smith. 2 1

Royale with Cheese Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 A high school teammate of mine went to Tennessee and was there at the same time as Travis Henry. His locker was next to his as well and things would come up missing. He told me it was Henry's reputation so he stopped bringing anything valuable like a watch, ring, wallet.... 1

So when Kelly came from the USFL, Bills fans would’ve had Kelly/Flutie debates instead RJ/Flutie debates. Things that make you go hmm. Edited April 6, 2021 by BillsFan619

Mcdermott Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Most practice squad players and undrafted free agents and long shots in general don’t make it.
Milanos Milano Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 The Bills never won a Super Bowl. Yep believe it or not it’s true.

maddenboy Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 (According to Chris Berman on SportsCenter during the super-bowl run in the early '90s) There are only 2 major sports teams in North America whose official colors are Red, White and (American) Flag Blue. Buffalo Bills and Montreal Canadiens.

The Bills finished last in the AFL East that year and the Tiger Cats went to the Grey Cup, but lost to Winnipeg in overtime. The Bills had only been in existence for a year, right?

You must have been watching then Clip Smith's Believe it or Don't. He thought they'd have a Beauty in Doug Flutie.

It's true Ralph wanted the team to be in Miami. However, he didn't change his mind, he was denied there and settled on Buffalo later. "After an initial bid to create a team in Miami was denied, Wilson told Hunt, "Count me in with Buffalo." 1

The reason Flutie went on to not be drafted until the 11th round is because In January he was drafted by the USFL's New Jersey Generals, where, in February, he signed a contract making him the highest paid pro athlete at the time. Two full months before the NFL draft.

Dan Darragh Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 You may not have known this, but the famous actor O.J. Simpson actually played for the Bills before beginning his career as an actor and women's rights advocate. 1
DrDawkinstein Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Jack Kemp, Bruce Smith, and Terrance McGee all have 1 thing in common. None of them have ever been in my kitchen.
