Yeah... The bow is stuck.  They have bow thrusters to keep things stable.  Surprised they didn't have tug escort being 400m long AND windy conditions... BUT it's Egypt  🇪🇬 and do you want the cost of your new LED TV going up! 😉

That's one big weathervane.    Was that the same wing that knocked down our fearless leader 3x?

Yes to tides.  Were apparently hoping that high tide today would do the trick:

Yes!  But it may be like waiting for the Sabres to score, even worse,  win a game! 😉

Looks like they are screwed in Egypt.  Suez is only @ 30° N.

The tides at the lower latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere are not as pronounced as the are at higher latitudes... That is what I meant...

"In the higher latitudes of the northern hemisphere, the continents of North America, Europe, and Asia are pressed closer together. This “constriction” of the oceans creates the effect of a higher range of tides."

Lotta things in play... Here's a map.  Confirms my hunch that the Suez Canal has low pronounced tidal variation:

Blue is low, red high tidal variation

They're saying there's a "Spring tide" with 18" variation expected Monday so they're hoping maybe then

That's not bad! But, that's a BIG boat! I wonder if Moses had knowledge of that way back when?  😉

If you look closely at the map of the world tides... It looks like it's more pronounced @ Suez... Anyway, the boat is stuck inland, wonder what the effect is?

Anyway... It may have been human error:

Blame the Indians... The whole crew I believe is being worked by Indian Nationals... You think 🤔... ??? Ain't just call centers folks? Cheapest labor wins!

Obviously they can't remove containers but I hope they at least de-fueled and removed whatever ballast items that are reachable.

Wasn't the load acting as ballast?  Why would there be anything else acting as ballast other than fuel?
