Exclusive: Border Agent Gives Inside Account of Overcrowded Facilities

March 23, 2021 17:28, Last Updated: March 23, 2021 21:07

By Charlotte Cuthbertson

The family-unit holding cells smell like urine and vomit. Fights break out in the unaccompanied-minor cells. Scabies, lice, the flu, and COVID-19 run rampant.

“We’re dealing with a different culture who’s not afraid to send all their kids under the age of five, knowing they’re going to get raped, knowing they’re going to get killed,” Carlos said. “You talk to the adults or the teenagers and they’ll tell you, ‘They raped three or four girls, and they kicked them off the trains.’ They’re going to die.”

Two-thirds of migrants traveling through Mexico report experiencing violence during the journey, including abduction, theft, extortion, torture, and rape, according to Doctors Without Borders (MSF), which has been providing medical and mental health care for migrants and refugees in Mexico since 2012.

Almost 1 in 3 women surveyed by MSF said they had been sexually abused during their journey—60 percent through rape.

Mexican drug cartels using kids as decoys in to smuggle its members into US: sheriff

HIDALGO COUNTY, Texas — Mexico’s ruthless drug cartels are using helpless children as decoys to smuggle their members into the US  — courtesy of the Biden administration’s relaxed immigration policies, law enforcement told The Post.

The drug thugs are already making a killing off  the border crisis, jacking up their fees to smuggle the growing flood of people into the country — and now “making more money on humans than they are on the drug side,” said Hidalgo County Sheriff J.E. Guerra from the front lines of the US immigration battle in Texas.

But the cartels also are further exploiting the disastrous situation by splitting up kids from their wannabe immigrant parents, then having members pose as the children’s relatives to  cross the border, Guerra said.

Works way better when you finish it. Just like a roof!

The migrant president spent millions to stop the wall build.

Taxpayers to Spend $392.69 per Person per Night on Hotels for Illegal Border-Crossers

You are now a smuggling co-conspirator

On March 20, Axios reported that the Biden administration has entered into a six-month contract worth $86 million to house 1,200 migrant family members near the Southwest border in Texas and Arizona. That works out to $71,666.67 per migrant, paid by your tax dollars, meaning that you are now a co-conspirator to one of the largest smuggling schemes in history.

Keep in mind, as the outlet notes, that $86 million is just the beginning, as the contract (“through Endeavors, a Texas-based nonprofit” — I would hate to see the tab if they were in it for the money) “could be extended and expanded”.

Where are all the masterbating liberals around here singing the praises of open borders?

they are in other threads praising the heavens for their government checks and talking about how taxes need to be raised on other people.

$392.69 per person per night... so for a family of four, that’s about $1200/night.

all checks out.

Thanks government for being awesome

$86M for just 1,200 families for just 6 months.  Holy hell!

Yeah but, 10% to the Biden family.

Guess the wall didn't work as expected

You were just being sarcastic right ?

I think It has less to do with the wall not working and more to do with a campaign promise being made and a executive order being implemented to undo laws that were in place that were working .

Now those who thought the promise was made to are trying to collect on that promise . Some of the he people interview on the border have even said after what Biden said about immigration in his campaign they thought it would be easier to get here so that's the reason why they came .

But the Biden said it's not his fault .

Now because it is such a bad situation and children are there us as a compassionate people can't let children suffer as it should be so we the people are paying for the mess our gov't official has got us in . Same as it ever was ...

And all while our American soldiers were previously sleeping in a parking garage while protecting the capital because they didn't want to spend the extra money for those that protect our country talk about hypocrisy at it's finest . Keep up the good work !!

There was a lot around this topic in the press conference today. If you tried to follow it, he kind of went all over the place with some unintelligible stat line he didn’t explain about 31% and 29%, then dove into ‘no crisis, same as it’s always been this time of year’ schtick, then blamed the last administration for the problem he said was something that always been happening.
He Acknowledged they are keeping the press out until they’ve implemented their plan, which basically threw his Mayorkas under the bus for blaming pandemic.

Another 33 million of your tax money

Your president: Biden says he would ‘be flattered’ if migrants are surging because of him

Doesn’t anyone see how frightening this is? The President of the United States just said that his administration is keeping the press away from a situation because it’s a mess! This situation is not a classified matter of national intelligence. Geez people...we are in scary times.

This is getting really close to being behind the iron curtain. And Tibs was worried about Putin?

Most curious is not that the administration has invoked the "cone of silence" (for the younger among us A Get Smart analogy).  They've screwed the pooch here and the President's suggestion that Trump is to blame is laughable.  Why would they want to shine a light on their failure here?

Its the fact the free and fair media is letting them get away with it.  Contrast with the previous administration where the press filled the role of Spanish Inquisition interrogator in grilling the WH press secretary every day.  They should be filing all kinds of legal briefs and challenges, going to court to get access, and making a big stink of the issue in their coverage.

I believe the line was: “No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!” 😉
