Potentially huge signing that will probably go under the radar. This dude has massive potential and even if he doesn't reach it this season he should still upgrade our pass rush. Love this move.

Don't care what his stats were in Carolina, one thing we absolutely know, he will have a significant decline here.

Why do we have all these scouts and front office people, if they are only going to sign players from Carolina?

It is a little frustrating but it hasn't hurt the coaching staff, team, record, outcome in a negative way.

He's already been in the league for 4 years. Let's not get carried away ...

Don’t know much about the guy yet. Assume it is very low $ deal and we still have a plan to use Tre restrux $ on a player or two.

Do have to remind that Aaron Maybin had 6 sacks for the Jets...

no you didn't.

I think what you meant to say is he’s only played organized football for 4 years.

He was part of the international pathway program so he's still learning. Maybe he's done growing and what he showed last year is what we'll get, but also we could get more.

Jerry Hughes was in the league for 3 years and only had 5 total sacks before coming here and posting 10 his first year year.

Obada has the similar, if not better  kind of raw athleticism.

So if he's only been in league 4 years, was he even in Carolina yet when McD and Beane left?

Not that facts would changes the jokes and comments about it here.

Pretty sure our DL coach was there though

I assumed Beane might go this route - instead of getting one major difference maker, just build depth & the rotation with solid players.  The plus with Obada is that he's still fairly young and possibly hasn't hit his ceiling yet (unlike an Addison, where you know what you're getting).

The Panther thing is....concerning.  But I have 100% faith in Beane.

So unless the Bills plan to cut Hughes, Epenesa, Addison, or Obada, that's probably it for defensive end this year.

With Epenesa improving, Addison playing on a 1-year deal, and Obada likely being an improvement over Murphy, I think we can reasonably hope for the pass rush to be at least somewhat improved.
