With the 30th pick in the 2021 NFL DRAFT, the Buffalo Bills select...

I have a feeling he’s going 31 to the chiefs

Big Jefferson fan here. Numbers were fine but certainly not eye popping. I think his film is more special than his testing.

Rashed's too small to play DE for us, I think, but I've seen him live a couple times and there's a lot to like. Won't fall late enough for a YOLO pick to try him at the Lorax spot, however, so we'll probably have to watch him on another roster. Wright is enormous for a CB and clearly can scoot pretty good. May or may not even get drafted, but could be an interesting developmental guy, our staff are certainly not shy about liking big DBs...

That would suck.  I’m thinking the steelers may take him

Rashed is basically the same size as Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison.

Both of whom struggled early in their careers. If we were JUST looking for a pass rusher, Rashed would be fine, but in my eyes you're wanting a guy to come in as a pass rusher now but can develop into a complete DE in the somewhat immediate future. Very likely, that player will have to be at least somewhat bigger than Rashed.

Impressive.  That boy made himself some money today.

I am also told though that his agent has been ringing around teams telling them "he can play left tackle too". The right tackle only thing is real. If teams believe that he can only play on the right (and I do) he is going to go later than people expect.

Kadarius Toney (Florida) ran a 4.41 40yd dash @ 5'11" and 190lbs

He's just a hair under 6'. He's basically the same size as Diggs. I think he looks like he's 5' 9" cause he plays with a lot of bend.

Didn’t realize Fields is that big.  6’3” 227lbs and runs a 4.4.  Creative OC’s like Daboll can find ways to win with an athlete like that until Fields develops as a passer.

Kyle Shanny was OC of Washington when RG III was the talk of the league. I think SF traded up for Fields.

Toney reminds me of Percy Harvin with his moves.

WR Jacob Harris had an attention grabbing performance at UCF pro day:

6'5"

219

81 1/4" span

40.5" vert

15 reps

11'1" broad

4.39 40

4.28 shuttle

6.51 3 cone

...........and still probably goes undrafted.

Quite a promising WR class this year.

Why do you think he goes undrafted?

I think it less stellar at the top than last year's in terms of probably fewer top 50 guys but I think it might be even deeper than last year's into day 3.

Yeah I actually think that late first thru the second round is a place where a lot of mistakes could be made.........there are some guys in this draft that should absolutely go in the first..........but then there is a drop-off where I don't see much difference in risk/reward/value between the next group and guys that could end up going on day 3.

I'm not a fan of the gadget guys early..........I know a lot of fans are.........but just because we want a Tyreek Hill doesn't mean the Bills can just go get theirs.    If you believe the way mock drafts are being set up round 2 is full of them.    The hype is out of control.   Dri Archer ran a 4.26 at the combine and had a much more productive college career than Rondale Moore.......with the Tyreek-mania nowadays..........he would probably be rationalized as a Bills target at 30 if he was in this draft.

Will be interesting to see if the NFL teams have a more realistic outlook on these undersized guys than the fans do.

So I suspect based on previous conversations I am slightly higher than you on Toney. I have three round 1 grades at receiver - the three obvious ones - and then I have a group of 3 guys I have high seconds on that I could rationalise at the end of round 1 - Toney, Dyami and Marshall. Then I have the drop off to the group with the two Moores and with Bateman who I do like but I just see a bit of a limited ceiling for.

The two Moores will be very interesting case studies. Last year we saw the Eagles reach for Jalon Reagor in round 1 as an undersized speed guy. It didn't exactly work out so does that mean this time around teams stay a little more patient?

Yeah I am not sold on Toney as becoming a WR1 so I wouldn't go round 1 on him.    I think he plays 4.5 speed on the field and he's so raw as a WR that it squares up as a likely disappointing pick at 30.

Not Dyami Brown either.........though in the 2015-2017 drafts yes he'd be a top 30 player because of the positional value and lack of quality at the position.   I think his ceiling is below that of an Emmanuel Sanders........and with such an influx of young talent into the league veteran talents like Sanders are going to be available for reasonable rates in UFA for the next several years and I want my 1st round pick to be a potential $20M guy.

Marshall I like at #30 because he could develop into a WR1 guy.........coming into the season he was the guy I was hoping the Bills could end up with......and he was terrific when he played.......but I don't love it as much now........I don't think I would pass on Eichenberg or Rousseau for him in a draft with so much talent at WR.

I like Dyami and Toney more. I think Dyami's ceiling is Stef Diggs. Toney I do get the "can he be a #1?" point but I think he is elusive and I think he is fast enough. He is quite scheme specific though. Not entirely sold on him as Bills fit.

I actually like Khafre Brown more than his big bro Dyami.    Just a bit faster version who will probably be Howell's WR1 next year and a RS soph so he could be in next years draft.    Which is kinda' my thing about taking Dyami in round 1..........there are going to be a lot of "good" mid-sized WR's.........the pipeline on those doesn't appear to be drying up.   I like Dyami but don't really see the Diggs comp..............Diggs was a monster recruit who was dominant the minute he set foot on campus.......he just went to a bad team.
